Petersfield Climate Action Network (PeCAN) is a charity built to raise awareness about climate change, helping people in the local area to reduce their carbon emissions and protect nature. registered as a charity in December 2020 after being set up by a group of local residents who wanted to make a difference by supporting decarbonisation and nature projects in the community. Our funding comes from the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme via the National Energy Foundation and the South Downs National Park Authority. Some of our projects include No Mo May, Plastic Free July, fruit tree planting and a toy Inswap.July, we organised Petersfield’s first ever Eco Fair, in conjunction with Petersfield Town Council, raising awareness of climate change and offering a wealth of environmentally friendly tips to collectively reduce our carbon emissions.

One of our biggest schemes is the Petersfield Area Super Homes (PASH) project, which involves having a Whole House Retrofit Plan carried out on your home to enable you to see what changes you could make to reduce your carbon footprint.
