The ‘Mixed Fruit Elderflower Jelly accompanied

by Lemon Sorbet’ dessert is a delicious way to make the most out of all types of fruit when in season. The desert is vibrant, light and refreshing whilst working delightfully to cleanse your palate after your meal.

Mix in lemon 1. To make the sorbet, boil 100g of caster sugar with 100ml of water. pour into a and maker cream ice an in Put juice and fresh lemons for a zesty taste. again. freeze plastic tub and freeze until firm then whisks and 2. To make the jelly, add 600g of mixed fruit, put into a pan with 5tbsp of elderflower cordial and 3tbsp of water. Mix and leave to stand for 20 minutes whilst stirring occasionally. Cover the pan tightly with clean film and place over low heat and swirl gently. After 10 minutes take off heat and leave for 5 minutes and then pour mixture into a fine nylon sieve over a bowl. Leave it to drip through to form a clear jelly.

4. To serve, dip the moulds in hot water for a few seconds and turn them out. Spoon sorbet by the side of the jelly or serve sorbe t on top of jellies if set in glasses. ORCHESTRA PRESENTS CHEQUE TO PORTSMOUTH HOSPITAL Portsmouth Philharmonic orchestra, has donated £150 to the Rheumatology department at the QA Hospital in Cosham.

Anne White, who organised the concert, said: “The orchestra has done previous concerts on behalf of the department, but this time we decided to do the concert “in-house” as we feel it is such a good cause.”

Colin Beevor, from the Rheumatology and Fracture Liaison Service, also states:

“The department is delighted that the orchestra was able to help us out with this concert. The money will be used to support patient self-management support programmes.”

Portsmouth Philharmonic’s next concert is on Sunday December 9th at 3pm in the Church of the Resurrection at Drayton, Portsmouth in which a programme of music by Bizet and Tchaikovsky will be played.

This will then pass through a catch bag inside the Sea bin and then pumped back into the marina leaving litter and debris trapped inside!

The Sea bins will then be emptied twice a day and recycled; the non-recyclable material will be used to offset fossil fuels in the production of energy.
