Preheat the oven to 200 ˚C, prep the fruit and veg and toss the sweet potatoes, Brussel sprouts and apple into the baking pan so that they’re evenly distributed.

Lay the chicken thighs on top, skin side up.

Drizzle over some olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Sprinkle with the garlic, rosemary and thyme.

Mix the contents of the pan, ensuring every side of the chicken and veg is covered in oil and seasonings.

Bake for 30 minutes, then broil for 5 - 10 minutes (so the chicken skin gets golden brown and crispy).

It’s getting darker and colder, you’ve got a To-Do list as long as your arm, and it’s that dreaded time of the day again… dinner time. Preheat the oven to 200 ˚C, prep the fruit and veg and toss the sweet potatoes, Brussel sprouts and apple into the baking pan so that they’re evenly distributed.

Lay the chicken thighs on top, skin side up.

Drizzle over some olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Sprinkle with the garlic, rosemary and thyme.

Mix the contents of the pan, ensuring every side of the chicken and veg is covered in oil and seasonings.

Bake for 30 minutes, then broil for 5 - 10 minutes (so the chicken skin gets golden brown and crispy).

Another Year of Outstanding GCSE Results! of students achieved a grade 4 or above included History, German, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Dance, Music, Religious Studies, Photography and Media.

A third of all grades awarded to students at TPS this year were at the 7 to 9 (A*/A) standard!

Students and staff at The Petersfield School have celebrated another year of outstanding GCSE results.

Overall, 83% of students at the school achieved a grade 4 or better in English and in Maths, matching the record results achieved last year. A grade 4 is defined by the Government as a pass under the new 9 to 1 grading system. Additionally, well over half of students (60%) achieved at least a grade 5 (defined as a strong pass by the Government) in both of these subjects.

Sarah Arnold was the highest achieving student with an incredible nine grade 9s, the highest grade possible, equivalent to an A**!

The Petersfield School was rated Outstanding in every category by Ofsted in 2018, with inspectors praising the very high expectations set by school leaders and teachers’ excellent subject knowledge leading to exceptionally high standards.

With strengths across the board, results in English and Maths were particularly impressive, with 90% of students achieving at least a grade 4 in English and 87% being awarded a grade 4 or higher in maths.

PETERSFIELD OCTOBER 2019 FITZROY FIREWALK FESTIVAL! On Friday 18th October, a group of selfnominated people will walk over 20ft of hot coals to fundraise for Fitzroy, a charity which supports people with learning disabilities and autism. After the bravery of the fundraisers, the event will celebrate with live music, games, a raffle and hearty food and drink - including flaming sambucas!

Blaze, the Firewalking experts who have organised the event said “Everybody finds their first firewalk thoroughly exhilarating.”

FitzRoy transform lives by supporting people with learning disabilities to do the simple things that make a real difference to their everyday life. This event will help Fitzroy reach their vision to have a society where people are treated as equals, regardless of their disability. Fitzroy rely on the generous support of fundraisers.

CUPPAS AND CAKE HAVE RAISED MORE THAN £6,000 FOR ROWANS HOSPICE The Rowans Hospice team want to say a huge thank you to everyone in the community who has thrown a tea party for the Rowans Silver Jubilee appeal.

Since the launch in 'The News' a few months back, Silver Jubilee tea parties have proved to be a success – a fantastic way to gather colleagues and friends whilst raising funds to support the Rowans Hospice.

Over 75 tea parties have been hosted across Hampshire – Petersfield, Portsmouth, Hayling Island, Fareham and Waterlooville.

Tea and cake have been enjoyed in many places across the country, from offices to boats, scout huts and back gardens – in the lovely summer sunshine.
