A strong performing holiday special can be as simple as a quality protein and sides. Ribeye à la Plancha is a great example, contrasting the dark, caramelized sear of a steak against light, fresh Southeast Asian flavors.

À la plancha cooking is inspired by Aztec culture and is translated to mean prepared on a round, flat metal surface, like your griddle. Traditionally, the seasoned surface and high heat allow the essential flavors of the meat to shine – with no enhancements necessary, and that’s certainly true here of the ribeye from our Hispanic-inspired Contigo brand.

flavored oil then cook skirt and red onion on high for 3-4 min on each side, or until the inside is reddish pink and the outside is dark brown. Let rest for 10 minutes with a piece of foil over the top as a tent. Slice into 8 ounce portions.

In a large bowl, toss the arugula, onions, and hearts of palm. In a separate bowl, mix the vinegar, garlic, oil, salt, and pepper to taste. Pour over the arugula mix, tossing to combine. Add another pinch of salt and a couple cracks of black pepper and mix again. Sprinkle with the Cotija. Top with the sliced skirt steak.

If a crackling fire is a hallmark of the holidays, then bulgogi, or fire meat, fries are delicious and easy additions to seasonal menus.

For this shareable app, marinate Braveheart Skirt Steak in a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, and white wine vinegar. Carve the steak into thin strips and place it on a bed of golden, easy-prep West Creek French Fries. Then infuse the sour cream topping with caramelized onions and toss in some melty Bacio Mozzarella Cheese.

Add all ingredients in a bowl and place sliced beef in the marinade overnight. This will allow the flavors to infuse in the beef and tenderize it as well. Also, slice onions, toss in olive oil, and season with vegetable seasoning before placing in a sauté pan and adding 3oz of bourbon. Cook on medium heat to sweat the onions and caramelize them along with infusing them with bourbon. This creates layers of flavor.

preparation In a mixer with whisk attachment, add coconut
and vanilla extract combine on low speed. Turn to speed medium and slowly add in powdered sugar to combine. Adjust speed to high to whip air into coconut milk and create vegan whip cream. Once high peaks are achieved, remove from bowl and place into piping bag with star tip. Plate each cake slice on chilled dessert plate. Top with coconut whipped cream, raspberries, and a mint leaf. Optional plating: Cut each slice of gluten free cake lengthwise to split creating two pie wedge shaped pieces. Pipe equal parts of whip cream onto the base of each split cake slice. Place the tops back on each slice of cake. Top with a little whipped cream. Cut raspberries in half then place around the entire whip cream portion.
