The Grammar Tables Garden Installation A new commission by Helen Horgan

Dark White Collages by poet Linda Norton

An exhibition that walks the line between words and images and raises questions about the nature of the boundary. It features poetry films, an immersive installation and collages--all works that embrace poetry as an essential element in their making. Moving Lyrics: Four poetry films from the Poetry Project (2013) are featured, a project that invited visual artists to make moving image works based on the poems of some Irish writers. The Grammar Tables Garden: For The Dock, Helen Horgan has created an immersive, larger-than-life sculptural garden. This new commission is an attempt to create a movable alphabet out of the image archives of a land and sea journey taken in 2009. These images, perceived as a set of gestural ‘signs’, share curious formal relations that suggest a language or script. Dark White: San Francisco-based poet and essayist Linda Norton is also a fluent collagist. This exhibition features her minute and droll ‘paper poems’ and invites the viewer to draw connections across a practice that embraces the verbal and visual. The exhibition continues until Saturday 1st November. The
