Barbara Knezevic: new sculpture ‘Where exists a remnant’ For her solo exhibition at The Dock, Barbara Knezevic will present an array of sculptures and artworks comprised of wax, salt, steel, marble, fabric and rubber. These materials are moulded, bent, stacked and assembled into arrangements that recall monuments, markers and signifying structures. The artworks arise from the artist’s consideration of the aesthetics of permanence, a desire to claim objects and mark existence materially, and of the temporary nature of the exhibition format itself.

This guide is brought to you by the Arts Office of Leitrim County Council to keep you up to date with all that’s happening in the arts around Leitrim. It aims to cover as wide a range of arts related events as possible around County Leitrim, but of course we depend on you to tell us what’s happening in your part of Leitrim. If you would like to have an event listed in the next issue, please email whatsonguide@gmail.com. The next guide will cover the months January to April. The closing date for inclusion in that is Friday 8th November. If you would like to join the Leitrim Arts on-line mailing list you can contact the number below or log on to www.leitrimarts.ie
