Declan took time out to reflect and start afresh. In June this year, having spent six weeks preparing ten of the fourteen arrangements by himself, Declan took to the stage with a fifty-piece RTE Concert Orchestra where a packed-out National Concert Hall was treated to new orchestrations from all three of his albums. A marvelous live performer Declan’s return to The Dock is keenly anticipated.

Mark Joyce’s painted works are always about the issue of physically capturing light and therefore colour. While the hues are often unrestrained and gem-like, the sensibility dwells in the halls of science and the physics of colour. WHO IS MANORHAMILTON?
Devised, written and performed by Sorcha Fox Who is Manorhamilton? Over the last year, as Glens Arts Council Theatre Artist in Residence, Sorcha Fox has been exploring this question. Working with filmmaker Róisín Loughrey, composer and musician Dee Armstrong, and young filmmakers Megan and Emma Devaney, an innovative theatre piece has been developed that looks at Manorhamilton and the many identities it contains. Responding to input from the community and her own interest in Manorhamilton’s diversity, Sorcha has put together a piece of theatre celebrating the place we live in in the spirit of challenge. PETUNIA & THE VIPERS (CANADA) In his native Canada, he is widely regarded as “a legend in the making”. …And when Petunia & The Vipers arrive on these shores in 2013, we should all prepare for the kind of jolt that’s normally delivered by a lightning bolt. When the band crossed the border in 2012 and worked its way down the US highways to Los Angles, America thought a hurricane had just blown through. Phil Alvin of The Blasters loved the show so much, he jumped on stage and sang along! The band is being flown in from Vancouver to kick off this Irish and UK tour with their own headline show at the 1000-capacity Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow as one of the main attractions at the city’s annual Celtic Connections festival.
