Free School meals for school age children – including sixth form Register for the Pupil Premium and a free school meal to help make sure your child’s school get their maximum funding. Your school is entitled to money for each child who is registered. From September 2014 all children in reception or year 1 and 2 infants are entitled to a free school meal, but you will still need to register for the Pupil Premium for the school to get the funding. Older children may still qualify should qualify for free school meals and the pupil premium, even if you are working.
