She also added in her statement that another HUMSS students were deployed last March 27, 2023 in their designated assignments. Other students from different programs are to be deployed in their appointed schedules in the coming weeks.

“I believe that this work immersion will be very beneficial for us students so that we can experience a working environment and we will observe and grasp knowledge that we can potentially use in the future,” Leiam Mostacesa a HUMSS student said in an interview.

The immersion activities will be culminated on May with a career guidance activity and the Senior High Summit.

The announcement measures will include using of metal detectors upon entry, police visibility, stricter checking of school ID or the “No ID, No Entry policy, vehicles gate pass stickers, and training of security personnel with new safety drills.

In the past weeks BCNHS recorded several riots involving outsiders that affects academic activities inside the school. The most severe incident caused physical injury and hospitalization of a student who obtained wound in his forehead and several abrasions.

PO3 Alberto Escarillo Jr. who first responded the incident said, “We immediately answered the call of BCNHS and ensured full security assistance to avoid further riots inside the school premises.” observe any suspicious activity.

Meanwhile, the security guards will ensure only BCNHS students are allowed entry, visitors will log information with purpose of visit, vehicles with gate pass stickers will be given access, and for if any incident arise to take immediate action.

“This is something that we take seriously, we hope that with this added security measures we will observe improvements in the coming days. We wanted to ensure that this school remain safe and student friendly,” Glendale Lamiseria the school principal said in an interview.

BCNHS faculty shines in Southeast Asian educators TikTok challenge

Jeanny Mae Renomeron, a teacher of Burauen Comprehensive National High School (BCNHS), ranked third among 170 entries in the International Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) TikTok Challenge, besting the videos from six Southeast Asian countries.

The challenge anchored on the theme “Transformation of Education begins with Teachers,” were joined by TikTokers from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam
