Elmer Salinas Jr’s response!
What challenges did you encounter during rehearsals and during the pageant?
“I didn’t face any difficulties during the pageant, but I did during the rehearsals. For instance, I found it difficult to wear heels because I am not used to wearing high platform shoes, making it uncomfortable for me to walk.
“Since it was my first time joining a pageant, I didn’t really know how to do the “pageant walk” so I was often times told, “Elmer tim kalakat baga ka’n sundalo.” Other than that, I also had trouble with posing during the pictorial and the pageant proper. Preparing for the Q&A portion was also very exhausting for me
What do you think made you stand out from all the other contestants?
“I genuinely think that every candidate did a good job, but I think what made me stand out from the rest is that I didn’t get nervous. I was having fun and I always had a smile on my face, which helped me act naturally throughout the pageant. Another thing that stood out is how I answered the question given to me during the Q&A segment.”
“All of us had our own charms and uniqueness, so it’s kind of hard for me to actually determine what made me stand out from the other contestants. I have no idea. Everything was unexpected. I just did my best.”
