TIONAL ACADEMY

Faith International Academy
(FIA) serves primarily to support families in Christian ministry by offering a quality, international, Christian education. FIA’s mission is to enable families to serve the Lord wherever he leads them by providing Christ-centered education that prepares students to live for God in the world. While the world focuses on eroding morals and transient values, FIA sets a Biblical standard that aspires to be a Christ-centered, multiracial academic learning community that inspires staff and students to faithfully follow Christ in the world.
Beginning of FIA
FIA’s history officially began when missionary parents gathered in Manila in March 1956 to look for a school. Faith Academy Manila was established in July 1957 with the help of numerous moms. Additionally, a United Christian Academy in Davao approached Faith Academy Manila to help open a branch in Davao in the early 1980s. In 1987, the current campus of Faith Academy Davao was dedicated. The Davao branch and Mindanao International Christian Academy combined in 2008 to form Faith Academy Mindanao.
In 2013, it was decided that the school was established enough to become legally independent. In 2014, recognition was given, and FIA came into being.
The school’s priority has not changed over the past 40 years; FIA still focuses on providing quality education to parents of Christian ministries. 90% of FIA’s pupils come from these households. The approaches used by FIA (in terms of curriculum, technology, training, etc.) are in line with the most recent recommendations for best educational practices.

ACADEMICS: MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL
Students who are entering middle school in grades 6–8 (ages 11–14) develop their independence by switching between different courses throughout the school day. This helps students become ready for high school while teaching them responsibility and time management. These students take core studies, physical education, and classes on Korean and Filipino culture. Every year, all middle school students go on a weeklong vacation to Luzon for outdoor education, which gives them the chance to bond with one another and develop their cooperation abilities.
In contrast, the high school program for students in grades 9 through 12 (ages 14 to 18) equips students to be global citizens while demonstrating the unwavering love of God wherever they go. The high school curriculum is based on American standards and emphasizes AP and other college-preparatory courses. Every year, high school students take part in outdoor education. Students get the chance to serve and gain first-hand knowledge of Philippine culture because the school week is spent outside of the classroom and in a local community.

ATHLETICS
Faith International Academy’s high school athletics department includes volleyball, basketball, and soccer for both boys and girls. Along with pushing the participants to perform at their physical peak, the coaches stress the value of strong character, faith, and excellent sportsmanship in the athletic program.
FIA is a member of the International School Athletic Conference (ISAC). During the regular season, FIA students compete against other schools, and at the conclusion of each sport season, team members are chosen to compete in the ISAC tournament, where all seven conference schools come together for a multi-day showdown. The competition is held in several cities across the Philippines. The FIA seasons are as follows because of participation in ISAC competitions:
• August - October: Boys’ and Girls’ Volleyball
• October - January: Boys’ Soccer and Girls’ Basketball
• January - March: Boys’ Basketball and Girls’ Soccer
Students in middle school take part in the sports program as well. They are encouraged to sign up for volleyball tryouts and join the high school teams if they have athletic ability or advanced talents. When there is sufficient student enthusiasm and coaching talent, a middle school-specific basketball program is run. The high school teams’ season schedule is followed by this program as well. Middle school and high school students take part in the same soccer program and train and play together.

“THE GOAL OF FIA IS TO EQUIP FAMILIES TO SERVE THE LORD WHEREVER HE SETS THEM BY PROVIDING CHRIST-CENTERED EDUCATION THAT EQUIPS STUDENTS TO LIVE FOR GOD IN HIS WORLD.”
Unity & Diversity
It is acknowledged that because of varied backgrounds, certain aspects of social behavior are perceived differently in multicultural schools. FIA’s student body is comprised of children from13 different countries. FIA’s community members exercise personal liberties with tact and judgment in order to foster community cohesion.
Top Educational Option
Faith International Academy is the top K–12 educational option in Davao City—thanks to its international accreditation, emphasis on teaching kids from families involved in Christian ministry, use of English as a community language, fantastic facilities, athletics, music, drama, and AP courses. FIA exists to prepare students to live for God in His world through a Christ-centered education.
Star Faculty
FIA has a dynamic, diverse missionary faculty of likeminded people who are passionate about educating and encouraging young people from around the world. The staff plays a critical role in the success of students and the ministries it supports. They care about the students and go the extra mile to help them. Small class sizes are the key to quality education!
Covid Challenges
Because of COVID, FIA engaged in online learning for about two years, and students (as well as staff) excelled at utilizing technology to continue developing as lifelong learners who can think critically and creatively to analyze, interpret, evaluate, and synthesize information to solve challenging problems. In Davao City, FIA was the first institution to resume face-toface instruction as part of a government pilot initiative.

British School of Paris
Fostering Tomorrow's Geniuses with All Round Education
One of the key elements that influence students’ overall development is their capacity for creativity. When combined effectively, creativity and curriculum can assist kids in smoothly innovating and learning new things. Creative education, which also encourages students to tackle challenges in the real world, can change their academic careers. One of the most sought-after types of education in today’s innovation-driven environment is creative education. Although many educational institutions are incorporating this into their curriculum, the British School of Paris (BSP) has been an ardent supporter of creative education for 68 years.
England and Wales based Curriculum
The BSP, founded in 1954, is a co-educational British independent day school for students aged 3 to 18. The school is critical in ensuring the continuity of British education for students of all nationalities, especially in response to international mobility. It meets the highest criteria of quality set by British School Overseas and is the only institution in France with the UK government’s accreditation. It is one of
the oldest and biggest international British schools in existence. Its educational program is based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales, and it takes a distinctively French approach to teach by combining it with a strong pastoral system.
The BSP is the only British Overseas School in France with full accreditation. It is a high-achieving school with specialized features that provide educational support for both gifted students and those who have particular learning difficulties. All students are encouraged to set lofty goals and routines, and the vast majority of graduates secure admission to the colleges of their choosing around the globe.
The four core values of the BSP are:
• Excellence and Integrity
• Determination and Endeavour
• Community and Service
• Discovery and Opportunity
The BSP’s Objectives
The BSP strives to offer children of a variety of skills and cultural backgrounds a continuous course of high-quality all-around education from

nursery level up to university entrance. The curriculum is based on the ones used in the UK to make it easier for students to move between British International and UK schools.
The school’s objectives are to:
• To promote each student’s individuality and mental independence while promoting moral excellence, self-control, and respect for other people’s cultures, beliefs, and values.
• To pursue a hands-on, engaging teaching style that makes use of modern tools and technology to inspire students to be diligent in their work and take ownership of their learning.
• To create a well-organized atmosphere where discipline is strict without being oppressive, where parents and the school collaborate closely to build a powerful community and to uphold tight ties with the neighborhood commune.
• To hire and develop employees that are skilled, competent, and motivated to ensure the effective implementation of the educational program.
• Utilizing specialized programs to aid each child’s growth, to recognize and respond to their requirements.
• To educate children on issues related to health, safety, and the environment, both globally and as they affect daily life.

“The BSP is a highachieving school with specialized features that provide educational support for both gifted students and those who have learning difficulties.”

Teaching, Learning & Pastoral Care
The school’s pervasive sense of camaraderie fosters an environment conducive to students’ happiness and success. A wide and varied curriculum is provided for the kids, and it is mostly based on the national curriculum of England and Wales. Everyone is encouraged to develop and explore their abilities since the BSP wants to help each student reach their full academic potential. The school has high standards for its faculty and expects students to succeed both inside and beyond the classroom.
Pastoral care is the one-on-one help and direction given to each BSP student, fostering a secure, welcoming environment. The school ensures that students will be successful and happy in that order. Its top priority is that kids enjoy their time in school and quickly and thoroughly integrate into it. The
school’s pastoral care is unmatched and supports each student’s academic and learning goals. It supports the School’s overall strategy for teaching and learning and is one of the glaring distinctions of a British education.
Academic & Co-Curricular Excellence
With the BSP’s high academic standards, an excellent pastoral system, and a diverse choice of art, drama, music, sport, and other co-curricular activities, every student is encouraged and expected to flourish academically while also thriving physically, emotionally, and socially.
All students at the BSP have access to a wide range of co-curricular activities, giving them the chance to follow their interests in sports, music, or the arts or to learn a new skill. Many extracurricular activities, particularly sports, include competition with other British and international schools and provide the opportunity to take part in tournaments across Europe. The BSP curriculum’s formative, enlightening, enjoyable, and essential components are its key features.
Campus & Inclusivity
The BSP is pleased with how diversified its membership is. Visitors are frequently astounded by the vast variety of countries, cultures, and backgrounds that students come from when they arrive at the stunning campuses. There are frequent activities to celebrate the Junior School’s internationalism, and the atrium is covered in flags of the home countries. Even though the school uses English for operations and instruction, students might hear French (and other languages) spoken during breaks. The school welcomes everyone who comes
to learn here because it values languages.

The East Islip School District’s history is a narrative of transformation from a one-room school to a contemporary educational facility. The “Union Free School Act of 1853” was a piece of legislation that was approved by the legislature in 1853. This law made the establishment of tax-supported public schools with local Boards of Education possible. This remarked the first instance of a school mentioned in writing in 1857.
The Curriculum
Islip High School’s curriculum covers all subject areas, as well as technology, music, and art. Honors courses are available in English, social studies, mathematics, science, Italian, and Spanish, starting in middle school.

Business Field Trips
During two walking field trips, Islip High School students enroll in Susan Riche’s business ownership and marketing classes and visit small businesses on Main Street. The students learn about the processes involved in founding and running a business as they investigate different business ownership.
The owners of Islip Meat Market, The Pizzeria, Coyle’s Homemade Ice Cream, Islip Pharmacy, Sew What’s New, and Starbucks are introduced to the students on the outings, giving them an inside look at what makes those establishments so successful.
Sports & Gymnasts
In a ceremony held in the school cafeteria, thirteen Islip High School seniors continued their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Some of the signed student-athletes will play baseball at Lockhaven University, while others will play lacrosse for Pace University. Additionally, some will play baseball at Baruch College.
The girl’s gymnastics team from Islip High School competed alongside Bay Shore High School. They clinched fifth place overall at the Suffolk County championships at Walt Whitman High School in Huntington Station.
Islip High School’s Theatre
Islip High School theatre arts students performed “Broadway Bound,” a cabaret show with 25 different musical numbers. In addition to practicing the vocal performances, the students worked with Dr. Richard Harris to develop the choreography, set up and operate the lighting and sound, design the costumes, and manage the stage and props.

“Islip High School's curriculum covers all subject areas, as well as technology, music, and art with honors courses available in English, social studies, mathematics, science, Italian, and Spanish starting in middle school.”
The Broadway star Andrew Kober, who is presently starring in “Beetlejuice,” personally visited the school to train with the youngsters on their performances. This was one of the production’s most memorable moments. The Tony-winning 2009 “Hair” revival, as well as “Les Miserables,” “She Loves Me,” “Sunday in the Park with George,” “School of Rock,” and most recently, “Beautiful,” all included Kober. Kober also made a video message in support of the cast, which was shown before the performance.

• Numeracy : Mathematics and numeracy skills are the basic building blocks of students’ education. At The Pukekohe East School, it focuses on Problem-solving using mathematical skills and knowledge. In the school's opinion, it is a key to developing numerate students. The school strikes the balance between knowledge taught and skills learned by using the developed skills of students in real-world problemsolving challenges. The reason behind this is to create retention through authority for skills learned by children.
• Arts : Along with numerical skills, students must have a heart for arts and culture. They play an important role in developing students’ artistic sides and making ways for their creativity. The school takes care of all and provides students with various opportunities in visual art, singing, music, and dance. To boost students' confidence and give them a platform for their arts, the school arranges a school musical production every second year. It also arranges Pet Day every year. The school cherishes these memories by saying, “It is a good opportunity to see some of the beautiful visual pieces the children create”
• Science and Technology : In today’s advanced and fast-paced world, students must have knowledge about various new technologies as well as scientific discoveries. Science and technology education is a part of inquiry at The Pukekohe East School. At a very
young age, students are inculcated with the versatile concepts of science as well as real-time experiences of technology. This is the right time to promote curiosity and build a world of questions around them. To promote this curiosity in students, the school uses numerous topics, activities, and provocations.
• Health and Personal Education : Being a rural school, The Pukekohe East School encourages students to run, play, and take part in various sports. It competes in most sporting competitions around the Franklin area and has School Cross Country as well as athletics every year. As it is a health-promoting school, it encourages healthy food in lunchboxes and educates students as well as parents on the importance of a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Recently, the school has introduced a new sector called te ao māori . As the name suggests, this study acknowledges the interconnection between all living and non-living things. Being a rural education institute, the school supports te ao māori. It is at the start of the New Aotearoa histories curriculum. As this journey is new, it is adhering to the four values of Maramatanga, Kaitiakitanga, Manaakitanga, and Whanaungatanga throughout the school.
Excellent Staff
Teachers are the backbone of the school and The Pukekohe East School is blessed with an excellent team of teachers. With refurbished classrooms and outstanding study methods, students thrive in the best educational environment. The staff at school is committed to providing the best outcomes for the students they teach wherever they are on their learning journeys. The school makes it available on its official website and Skool loop app. It also has a charter strategic and annual plan to clearly make pathways for a better future for students.
NOTE TO THE STUDENTS
“Through our education, we inculcate values such as
For Students, by School

Everything in the modern world is evaluated using standardized criteria, and the educational sector is no exception. “Quality and approach” are two of the most important considerations. The status of a school is determined by the approach and the standard of its education. Students who receive highquality education can hone their abilities and reach their full potential as citizens. Therefore, it is crucial to choose educational institutions that have the right approach with up-todate curricula and unique study plans.
The British School Al Khubairat was established in 1968 and was supported by a land donation and Amiri Decree No. 5 of 1971. It was founded with the vision of the late President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The school, which was later renamed the British School Al Khubairat (BSAK) in 1980, is one of the oldest institutions in Abu Dhabi and a melting pot of cultures.

Academic Grouping
All academically gifted students are encouraged and challenged at BSAK to develop into well-rounded individuals who are prepared to move on to the next level of their study and live their lives outside of Abu Dhabi and BSAK. Three stages are used to group students considering their age:
1. Primary
Students are nourished and challenged at the vibrant, joyful, and dynamic BSAK Primary School through a varied and engaging British curriculum. The school seeks to nurture learners who are enthusiastic and self-assured in all facets of school life.
BSAK stands out not only for its history and amenities but also for the warmth and joy that permeate the neighborhood.
2. Secondary
The BSAK Secondary experience includes full participation in all the school’s offerings, including leadership opportunities and extracurricular activities, besides pursuing academic success. The school fosters the development of independence and highly successful personal attributes
that enable students to engage with the diversity of individuals they are likely to meet through its global approach to education. Resilience, hard effort, creativity, and passion are its primary focuses.
These future leaders have the proper start, and the school expects to watch them advance through the years and enroll in the top colleges around the globe.
3. Sixth Form
The distinguished Sixth Form offered by BSAK offers a remarkable selection of A Levels, BTEC, and Creative Arts routes, besides dedication to meeting the needs of students in a constantly evolving university environment.
The students consistently receive excellent exam results, and the alumni enroll in the world’s most prestigious universities and challenging programs.
Scholars Program
BSAK Scholars Program is a set-up plan to support its most gifted kids. This is known as the “gifted and talented program” or the “most able student’s provision” in many schools, and most schools offer a similar program.
The “BSAK Scholars Programme” works alongside the academic, athletic, and musical opportunities that are available to everyone and is an enhancement of the great provision the school provides for every student.
The program serves as a simple means of ensuring that the school provides opportunities to both stretch and push the most gifted students, enabling them to outperform their expectations and achieve the highest levels possible while enrolled in the institution.
Co-Curricular at BSAK
The School provides a wide variety of co-curricular activities for both primary and secondary students, enhancing everyone’s educational experience. Each term, students have a wide selection of academic, extracurricular, musical, athletic, and performing arts activities to choose from. These activities foster teamwork, the development of skills, and selfassurance in a supportive learning environment.
In secondary, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Model United Nations (MUN), a wide variety of academic groups, and many trips and visits are additional activities available.
