time warp May is here, and that means AIDS Walk is looming large. AIDS Walk has been one of the agency’s most popular fundraising events for close to two decades, and when you see hundreds of smiling faces in the spring sunshine it’s easy to understand why. Connections thought it would be fun to take a “practice” walk... down memory lane! Here are some photos from past Walks, and we’ll see you at Delaware Park on May 19 as we make some brand new memories at AIDS Walk 2012!

LETTER TO A CASE MANAGER This month a client passed without the case manager having knowledge until after the client was buried. This case manager had worked with the client for a few years, and understood his intense needs in relation to mental health and substance abuse. The case manager never gave up trying to get the client to accept help. He went above and beyond for this client. Not being able to say goodbye is difficult for people; I know this case manager wished to show his respects. I would like to say thank you to that case manager for never giving up, and please know that you always tried and wished the best for your client. Always remember him and even though his death was something you always wished would not happen, continue to help others the same way – you were a blessing in his life. Sincerely, Bridget McClain

Despite having the quintessential Jewish name, I am not, in fact, Jewish…

...because my mother was a Franciscan Nun.

3)

Thus the name Frank (Francis).

4)

I am an avid knitter.

5)

Oddly, I cannot crochet and am looking for someone to teach me.

6)

My left foot is half a size bigger than my right foot. (No I do not swap pairs in the store and leave you all with mismatched shoes)

7)

I am an avid reader of science fiction & true crime.

8)

I am not a vegetarian but so many of the people in my life are that I have actually forgotten how to cook meat. Have many great vegetarian recipes though.

9)

I grew up in the middle of the forest in North Boston, New York. Really I mean the middle of the forest. MapQuest 6570 Hillcrest Drive and look at the satellite picture.

10)

I am currently learning how to play Rugby and look forward to learning how to sail this summer.
