The favorite to win. Partially due to the singer’s status as a former Eurovision winner, partially due to its breathtaking performance at the Swedish national fnal, and partially because it’s a great pop song. Check out the performance on YouTube!

Where do I even begin with this one? It’s an eclectic blend of metal, rap, and dance-pop, and somehow it all works together to create an insane party anthem. It’s also in Finnish, only adding to its charm. This is the current runner-up favorite to win, and will almost certainly do amazing in the public vote.

France is especially good at showcasing their music scene to the continent. This one combines a dramatic “chanson”-style ballad with a disco beat, and can best be described as an “Edith Piaf disco remix”. A potential dark horse that could do exceptionally well.

A catchy Romanian bop inspired by Moldovan folklore. I personally think this one is being overlooked and could be a potential dark horse in Liverpool, especially given Moldova’s rather surprising history of providing amazing shows. This is one to watch out for.

After their success last year, Spain has decided to try something diferent. This year, they’re sending a ballad heavily rooted in a famenco style. This one also had an outstanding national fnal performance. Could be one to watch out for.

This one is for the indie fans. A catchy yet mellow indierock song in Slovenian. It also has a lovely and energetic live show, thanks to its charismatic performers. What’s there not to like?

A bold and uplifting pop song about female empowerment. You may have heard this one on TikTok, where it accidentally went viral prior to winning the Norwegian national fnal. I’d be very surprised if it performed poorly.

This is the bop you never knew you needed. A catchy, retro pop song about the struggles of being a songwriter, name-dropping Edgar Allan Poe to emphasize their point. Peak Eurovision. This is bound to earn big points from the public vote.

Boygenius, an indie rock band that consists of Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, and Phoebe Bridgers, has released a new album after their 5 year long hiatus since their debut EP, ‘boygenius’. The album orbits around the importance and feelings of friendship and loss. It’s a mix of Baker’s impulse decisions and care, Dacus’ questions and realizations, and Bridgers’ thoughtful connections and melancholic melodies. Together, they create more than a “side-project” or a “supergroup”; they are boygenius.
