Every wedding is a unique special event and every quote is bespoke to suit our couples requirements. We cater for weddings from 20250+ people, with prices starting from £750 (ceremony only, off-peak).

The Inn offers AA rosette level in-house bespoke catering, 2 bars, an oak beam barn, oak gazebo, marquee, private gardens and patio’s. Accommodation on site and next door totalling 50 guests, and superb varied scenery. We cater for weddings through all four seasons 1st January—23rd December from 10 to 250 guests, for full days ceremonies and receptions, or ceremony/reception only. The Inn has been owned by the Burden family since 2000, and has been lovingly restored to 4* glory! With so many options and continued improvements every year each wedding is completely unique.

We also cater for blessings, same sex marriages, and civil ceremonies. For marriages or civil ceremonies we book the registrar for you, and for blessings we can recommend a celebrant to suit your occasion.

Wedding guests can enjoy their own space in the private wedding areas, or exclusive hire of the entire Inn is available should you wish.
Enjoy time with your guests after the ceremony. Eat, drink, and be merry!
You may like to offer your guests a celebratory drink after your ceremony or on arrival. These can be served from our rustic drinks cart outside or from the bar by the fire in winter. Canapés are the ideal start to your guests day and a bespoke selection can be served along with the drinks. We can advise you on popular “crowd pleasers” or we can work with your suggestions.

For Winter weddings the barn has full underfloor heating.
French doors opening onto the private patio create the perfect cool space for summer weddings.

For larger weddings our marquee is available which includes as standard: Full use of the barn (ideal for drinks reception & photos in the case of bad weather) Uplighters (choice of colours), black star lit dance area (screen off during the day) with white LED dancefloor, fully transparent window panels (removable) which open out onto the gardens and waterside views.
For your evening reception we have available marquee extensions to the barn with private bar, or the barn for smaller evening receptions.
We have superb in house DJ’s that really know how to fill the floor! Our DJ’s come with full lighting systems and will create a playlist with you to suit your style. Or you can source your own evening entertainment (all suppliers must be insured & PAT tested) Breath-taking fireworks from the waters edge are available from our recommended pyrotechnics company. The perfect big ending to your big day!

Our evening marquees are concealed during the day & opened up ready for the evening. All our day or evening marquee options are accompanied by a complimentary private bar, are fully heated & come with uplighters. Black starlight ceiling with twinkly lights comes as standard with a dark wood floor, or a white LED floor is available. Seating within view of the dance floor keeps the party ‘together’ but allowing non-dancers to relax.

In September 2015 we were awarded an AA Rosette for culinary excellence, and in 2014 we won the prestigious title of “Kent’s Best Dining Pub” at the Taste of Kent awards.
Surely the most important part is what to eat! Whether you would like a formal dining experience, or a more relaxed meal – your bespoke menu will be created to suit you. Utilising local produce is our speciality, and the stars of any of our dishes would always be our home grown beef, lamb, and game. We also use vegetables/salads from our kitchen garden & regularly forage for local treasures to make our unique dishes. Our highly talented team of chefs create amazing dishes and can tailor them to suit your big day. Over 30% of our wedding enquiries are couples who have actually been wedding guests here, and another 30% are from couples who have dined at our Restaurant; a true testament not only to the venue, but the amazing food our team create.
Alternative wedding breakfast ideas are available should you prefer not to have a formal meal. Afternoon teas have been popular, as are hog roast wedding breakfasts. We welcome your ideas; we will advise on suitability and work with you to create something unique.
We offer several different evening food options: Popular options include; Bacon Butties, Old School Chip Cones with Scampi or Sausages, Hog Roasts, Cheese boards, Cheese towers/cakes, Soup with pimping stations, Ploughman’s Buffets and Sweet tables.
Mocketts Farm Cottage 4* cottages to sleep up to 40 are located just two minutes away. Perfect for guests coming from further afield, or to spend ‘the day after’ with your guests and enjoy use of the games room and BBQ.
The five rooms onsite at the Inn are 4* so all your guests can be assured of a high quality stay to remember. We have a gorgeous Bridal Suite with double spa bath, queen size sleigh bed, lounge & plenty of space to get ready.
We have an extensive list of recommended suppliers that we work with regularly and have been highly rated by our previous couples. Our recommended suppliers are trusted by us to deliver an amazing service. You can also source your own external suppliers if you prefer (restrictions apply).

No set of wedding photos here look the same! Get unique photos that reflect your style in the wedding garden, down by the water, or in fields that surround us.
Our gardens are kept immaculate all year round so they are always photo ready!
Your event manager will be on site for the day of your wedding, and will guide you through the planning process as much as you need. We also provide all our couples with a complimentary Moposa profile – online software which you can use to help you budget, plan, collect ideas or pictures, use to email or text your guests for free and help you keep track of your guest list. Our award winning in-house toastmaster is also available to assist in making your big day relaxing and well organised.
