Tiny Bag By James Strik
I got home from swim & started to do my chess homework after I unpacked my swim stuff & got dressed. I did as much as I could of my homework; which was only four problems before Misha my chess teacher got to my house. I learned some cool stuff. Halfway through the lesson the doorbell rang. thought to myself who would ring at this time?” Then I wondered if Mom & Dad hired someone to fix the house or something. My brother went to the door, when he got there he didn’t see anything but a tiny bag & then exclaimed “we’ve been ghosted!!!” in a very excited voice. I ran to the door to see the bag, I saw nothing & shouted where is it thinking that my brother wouldn’t take the bag in ; which was a very dumb thought. He responded “We took it in.” I relaxed a bit after those words. Then when I got in the kitchen I asked for to see inside of the bag. My nanny said after chess. But my brother told me two Sour Patch Kids.

The Fishy Caper By William Franks
Jack and Jim were hungry at lunch, and they wanted to go to Rob’s Seafood Restaurant. They hopped in their car and drove to the parking lot of the restaurant. But no one was in the parking lot. They dashed into the restaurant and Rob, the restaurant owner, announced to them that the restaurant had been robbed by a group of evil fish. A police officer was already on the scene and was sketching notes on a Staples pad. Maybe he had something to do with this? The officer announced the gang of evil fish had robbed the place at 9:00 P.M. the night before. Then Jim and Jack wanted to find out where the gang of evil fish was. They looked everywhere for the gang of evil fish. Eventually they decided to look at the lake. The boys found a boat and sailed out on it. What they saw next was tons of evil fish with seafood! After finding the fish, Jack and Jim decided to invent a trap. That night, the gang of evil fish got hung upside down by the rope Jack and Jim set the traps with. Right then, Jack and Jim heard a siren coming their way. The officer took the gang of evil fish to Fish Jail and made them eat rotten seafood. Rob’s restaurant re-opened and Jack and Jim were extremely happy eating seafood again! After the gang of evil fish were caught, Jack and Jim were employed for jobs at the restaurant and were paid with good money for stopping the gang of evil fish.

A few days ago, my next door neighbor gave me his pet dog. Its name is Cheecooka. My neighbor went to both New Hampshire and Maine with his friend. He told me that he might go also into the woods for a night. One day past, and me and the dog went to the supermarket and saw a skunk eating something in the middle of the road on the way. So I turned off the engine. About three seconds later, the skunk made a weird sound and went to the side of the road. I saw that the skunk was eating a large frog. Once the skunk was out of the road, I turned on my engine, and kept going. Two minutes later, I got to the supermarket. So I went in. I saw something good, and I bought it. I took it in the car and went back to my house. I took Cheecooka out to go to the bathroom. Then I saw that skuk again! What do you know, it sprayed Cheecooka. So I thought and thought. I remembered my friend once told me to put tomato juice in the bath. I did that‌ and it worked! But now he smelled like tomato. I gave him a regular bath‌ and it worked! I heard a knock on the door, and I remembered it was the day my neighbor came home. So I went down stairs and opened the door. It turned out to be the mailman. So I got the mail. Five minutes later, I got a call from my neighbor. He said his flight was delayed. About four hours later I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and my friend was there. We said hi to each other. He said thanks forbabysitting my dog, gave me fifty dollars, took the dog, and said thanks again and left.

Pigzilla
By James Martin McKay Pablo has a pet. Pablo is a 9 year old kid. One day his story came true. His pig grew huge and started changing everything into bacon. Soon Pablo started to notice the bacon. But, he started eating it. Then he noticed the couch turned into bacon. “Why is the couch bacon?” he yelled. When he found out that there was a gigantic hole in the wall, he ran outside and saw a huge pig. The pig started turning everything into bacon. It didn’t matter what it was, he didn’t care. Everyone was panicking. When the Pigzilla was close to nuclear tanks, he got bigger. He knocked over all the nuclear tanks. Pablo was so scared that he tried to make an antidote. The antidote was supposed to shrink Pigzilla back to normal size. When the pig reached the science lab, he had destroyed half the town. Pablo tried to calm the pig down but it didn’t work. The antidote for the pig was supposed to de-evolve the pig. The pig walked around in the middle of the town. Pablo started running after the pig. When Pablo got there, his pig stood still . Pablo used the antidote, and they all had a party afterwards.

Bob’s Dare
By Gregory Topetzes Once I was walking with Bob. While we walked we passed a house, the house looked very old. Bob said he would give me forty dollars if I went in it for a whole hour. I took the bet and went inside....AAAAAA! I screamed, in the middle of a bedroom there was the boy! I smelled like dirty socks because it was filthy in the bedroom so I decided to take a shower (but I didn’t want to). I went into the shower, AAAHH!!!! Suddenly, water started shooting everywhere! I couldn’t stand it anymore so I dashed out of the house and then I asked Bob if I got the $40, and he said no. “WHHAAATT!” I screamed. Then I asked him how long I had stayed in that creepy old house. He told me the answer, and it was surprising! He told me the answer was 19 minutes and 59 seconds. “20 minutes!” I yelled. “No,” he said. “No?” “No. 19 minutes and 59 seconds,” Bob said. GAAAHH! After I calmed down Bob said we should go home. And I said it was a great idea. I didn’t take a shower again for a very, very, very, long time (five years).

I asked my dad, “Why l am named George? He said because my great grandfather was George Storm. My dad said they also talked about Peter, Charles, Florance, Chester, and Patrick. Sky After Dawn By Ben Gardner
Pink is a rose Brighter than red Or some shingles On a big old shed. Pink is soft, pink is warm Pink is butterflies in a swarm. Pink is the sky after dawn Reflecting darkly on a pawn. Looks like a cupcake Kirsti wants And the color of a dress worn by her aunt. Covered with a really big rose With a stem as long as a garden hose. Some girls don’t like the color of pink Some boys don’t like the smell of ink. Pink is calm, pink is mellow Kind-of close to the color yellow. Tastes like strawberry and watermelon But not worn by Ferdinand Magellan.

Where Poems Hide By Matthew Gladstone
Poems hide... Under the bed hidden by dust. In the closet lazily lying in a coat pocket. Flying in the sky with a flock of birds. Or they will be... In the trees in a bird’s nest. A birthday cake in the frosting. In the ocean with a school of fish.
Maybe poems are... In a drawer neatly folded. In a garden of beautiful flowers. In artwork with vibrant colors. In your brain waiting...waiting to be written down.

Morning
By Max Lovitt
The mountains scraggly claws scraping the sky. Pulling the morning across the land And throwing the clouds up high. While the mornings bleeds pink across the world Pulling down black Throwing up the blue. All is bright. All is new. The eagles wake S p r e a d i n g their wings. Flying high in the sky While the rooster sings. The wispy light, Pink, orange, red and blue Shines down upon, Me and you. The sun's chariot climbing the sky. Going up Very high.

The Pitcher On the pitcher’s mound, the pitcher Throws the ball, Strikes the batter out, Rests. His glove at his side. Thinking. What pitch should he throw next? The batter walks up. He has a scared look on his face. The pitcher has an intimidating look on his like he is saying... I am going to strike you out. The batter is terrified he has to step out of the batter’s box to waste time before... he strikes out. By Drew Mealey

T here is a Bright Light‌ By Julian
There is a bright light that gives me hope and happiness. It opens its wings in the morning lighting up everything in sight.
The light shines through the leaves and onto the swaying grass that covers the field.
The light shines upon my head upon the swing that is moving so slightly, It has a shadow that moves with it.
The light is shining the clouds away. Pushing them like the opposite sides of a magnet.
The bright light gives me hope and happiness.

The Greatest Sport of All By Jackson Vignati (Inspired by William Blake)
Baseball, baseball gleaming white on the diamond where thoughts are light What bat could slam that gleaming ball? White and red just like fall. In what distance, very far could slam the ball over the wall? By who will he be inspired? On what bat dare he seize the power? And what glove, and what bat, could slam the ball farther than that? And when the pitcher wound up and threw, what dread the hands? What dread his power? What the ball, what the strike, in what mind would suspect that pitch? What the glove? What pitch was that? Dare he pitch the fastest pitch? And when the pitch finally came, and we heard the crack of the bat, did the fans smile wide? Baseball, baseball gleaming white on the diamond where thoughts are light what bat could slam that gleaming ball? White and red just like fall.
