TO THE SEA
I have always adored Autumn, even more so when we moved to the Blue Mountains and then to Tasmania where you really feel the change in season on the turning air. Days are so crisp and bright. Foliage gracefully colouring and later falls, to crunch under your boots. It feels like Autumn is the salubrious reward for making your way through the heat of summer and it forces you to take notice, it’s a glorious blaze of colour. The colour is actually caused by chlorophyll decreasing in the leaves, triggered by the shorter days and cooler nights. It all just happens around us, plants doing their thing. Try to make some time to inspect some leaves if you can, you won’t be disappointed. And eat an apple. Love
Jardine
