The event is open to the public, and admission and parking are free. “Autumnfest is a great opportunity to enjoy the sights, smells and tastes of the season,” explained Michele DeMichele, Special Events Director for the Anthem Community Council. “It’s also the perfect way to enjoy time with your family and get a
head start on gift shopping before the chaos of the holidays start.” Activities include: Arts and Crafts Booths: More than 60 arts and crafts vendors will be at this year’s festival each day, selling everything from handmade jewelry and baby keepsakes to pottery and clothing. Frazier Shows Carnival: The Frazier Shows Carnival will be in town starting Thursday offering a host of rides and attractions including a Ferris Wheel, fun house and carousel. 3rd annual bike ride honors late police officer MARC BUCKHOUT MANAGING EDITOR
Anthem resident Rebecca Stenholm said her husband, Jim, loved three things, his family, his job, as a Phoenix Police Officer and his bicycle. “Right after he died I started thinking about putting together a memorial ride,” she said. “As we got closer to the one year anniversary of his death I didn’t want to spend that milestone at home trying to avoid the phone. He was a great guy, who was always smiling and loved to spend his time with his friends and family. Instead of sitting at home being sad we’ve turned the anniversary into an event that he would have enjoyed attending.”
Inside:
