Sporting her Pac-Man outfit and flanked by a trio of ghosts Angelique Robinson explained the costumes seemed appropriate for Cave Creek’s Running of the Bulls. “Well, in that game you’ve got Pac-Man being chased by the ghosts,” she said. “Here we’re getting chased by the bulls.” The quartet, which included Robinson and Kyle Young from Southern California, as well as Connor Young and Zach Upchy from Scottsdale, were
among approximately 1,000 people that participated in the seven separate runs Saturday in Cave Creek. Many participants, including the quartet honoring the 1980s video game classic, participated in multiple runs. While Pac-Man could get relief from the ghosts by eating a power pill there was little relief from the bulls that came storming down the .25 mile race course. Most runners did well enough to stay out of harm’s

Anthem celebrates season with Autumnfest STAFF REPORT
The Anthem Community Council hosts its fifth-annual Autumnfest from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Anthem Community Park. The free, family-friendly event celebrates the fall season with arts and crafts vendors, carnival rides and pumpkin picking, as well as a chili cookoff and apple pie baking contest. While the majority of the festivities are Saturday and Sunday Frazier Shows Carnival will be setup in the park beginning Thursday. Hours will be 5 – 9 p.m., Thursday, 5 – 10 p.m. Friday, 1 – 10 p.m., Saturday and 1- 7 p.m., Sunday. The carnival will include a

host of rides including a Ferris Wheel, fun house and carousel. Rides and games vary in price. Autumnfest’s kid zone will include hay rides, inflatables
and a toy car racing track. The Daisy Mountain Railroad will also be offering train rides. Prices for activities vary. The pumpkin patch will give
families the opportunity to pick a pumpkin and then decorate and paint it. The food court will have a variety of options including beer and wine for sale. Attendees also will be able to listen to live bands performing on the gazebo from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
