Construction begins on New River gas station ELIZABETH MEDORA STAFF
NEW RIVER – A gas station and convenience store at the I-17 and New River Road intersection has been in the works for years, and now ground has been broken in the beginning of construction on the site. Construction officially began after ground was broken on the site last Friday. “We anticipate the store will be finished by 7/1/17 depending on weather and unexpected construction issues,” said site owner Marvin Rose, in an email interview. “We will offer gasoline, diesel and propane along with an electric charging station and

ANTHEM – Candidates for the Parkside seat on the Anthem Community Council Board of Directors and for the Anthem Parkside Community Association Board of Directors gathered on Feb. 15 for a Meet the Candidates night at the Anthem Civic Building. Dino Cotton, Bettye Ruff, and Frankie Ruiz are running for the ACC Board of Directors. Tim Fyke, Ron Jerich, and Shari Miller are running for the APCA Board of Directors.
