Project TUTOR, facilitated by THS’ master teachers, aims to teach students the basic 3Rs during their free hours. Project iConnect, facilitated by the Filipino and English departments, focuses on reading beyond cognition.

“Reading goes beyond cognition. Turuan natin silang magbasa gamit ang ating puso.” Benjamin Gaspar, Head Teacher I in English noted. These projects are anchored dubbed as Project RESCUE and pursuant to the DepEd Memorandum 173, s. 2019 and is supported and supervised by THS’ school head, Dr. Juvelyn L. Esteban.

The launching was graced by the Education Program Supervisors in Language, Dr. Reymar D. Paguio and Ma’am Rowena D. Tiamzon, the SPTA ExeCom, parents, and the barangay officials of the nearby LGUs.

“We are all here to better learning outcomes.” Dr. Paguio emphasized. He also mentioned that reading is a fundamental skill that every student needs to learn. Tibag High School hopes to implement these reading programs last October 11 after the profiling of students.
