RESEARCH
THE DESIGN QUESTION
How can students, staff and alumni at The University of Florida connect and collaborate to make better projects across the multiple disciplines on campus?
THE PROBLEM
We have a large distance campus so it is hard to collaborate with other disciplines that are not in your own major for projects and course feedback.
(Ex. Grad Students stuck in the Fine Arts Building getting the same feedback for their projects)
RESEARCH TOPICS
• Creative Relationships • Design Thinking • Empathy • Learning Styles • Mentoring Techniques • The Career Resource Center @ UF.

Cons: Outdated interface, no branding

students at the university.
CASE STUDY / BLACKBOARD
Allows teachers to track their students progress and give them personalized tools to help them excel in the classroom. Cons: Still in beta testing.
CASE STUDY / SIMBI APP
Allows the exchange of paid services between individuals for other services. Cons: Services are sometimes too far away to complete. Not intended for expensive jobs.
CASE STUDY / SLACK
Helps bring teams together to complete projects. Cons: The desktop and mobile apps are limited in terms of the activities they give group participants.
CULTURAL PROBE
Asks the questions: • Which personality types would you want your mentor to have? • Who do you enjoy working with on your projects? • What is a mentor to you?
CULTURAL PROBE RESULTS
43 Probes were given out to: • Sophomore • Junior • Senior • Staff @ UF
Some students at The University of Florida: • Want the ability of choice, to pick who they want to work with. • Want not just mentoring. • Want to be able to work on Similar projects and have similar project goals with their mentor.
THE SOLUTION
EQUAL GROWTH A way to foster a Cocreatorship to shorten the distance between students, their problems, solutions and decisions for their projects where both parties equally benefit!
TARGET AUDIENCE
