Nuez Lounge BIO Designed by Patricia Urquiola The Nuez Collection by Patricia Urquiola began as a range of chairs that uses plastic to fold like a sheet of paper - creating a shell-like structure that envelopes the seat. It has since developed into a wide range of seat styles, with the most recent addition being the Nuez Lounge BIO. Both recyclable and biodegradable, the chair is crafted from a thermopolymer generated by living organisms that is used to make the high-backed shell. A new recyclable fabric collection was developed specifically for the chair - made from recycled bottles and packaging. Further enhancing its sustainable design, the chair can be easily broken down into its components for recycle and repair.

The range is tactile and generous, instilling a sense of home and inviting touch through its soft geometry. The simplicity and boldness of the designs reflect the makers perfection of the craft, resulting in a unique range of wood furniture that will stand the test of time. Benchmark have invested in Life Cycle Assessments and Environmental Product Declarations to show the impact of their furniture. The OVO High Table has a negative carbon footprint (-40.1kg carbon equivalent), meaning it stores more carbon than it emits during manufacture, distribution and use. 12

Dancing Wall Designed by Stephan Hürlemann The Dancing Wall is Vitra’s solution to new working environments - a response of companies adapting their spaces to be resilient to unpredictable changes.
