All Summer Long Van Gogh at the Dali Come on, Post-Impressionism nerds, immerse yourself in “Van Gogh Alive,” a Vincent Van Gogh art exhibit at the Dali Museum. Walk into “The Starry Night” and stare back at a wall of Van Gogh portraits – super sized. This large-scale, 3,000 piece exhibition is included in the price of a museum ticket and extended until June 13. The Dalí Museum, One Dali Blvd. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. $25
Thursday, March 18 – Sunday, March 21 Festival Alert: Reggae Rise Up Four days of reggae, merch and cultural cuisine in sunset Vinoy Park. Listen to the sweet sounds of groups like The Dirty Heads and Slightly Stoopid while tapping into the St. Petersburg music scene. Vinoy Park, 501 5th Ave NE. 5-10 p.m.
Saturday, March 20 Gulfport’s Great Clam Bayou Cleanup Keep Gulfport’s scenic Clam Bayou beautiful. Boots, sunglasses, hats and kayaks are welcome, among
other Floridian must-haves. Register at Osgood Point by the Coast Guard Station to have a hand in this very green, very Gulfport, cleanup. Boca Ciega Yacht Club will award a $50 gift card “bounty” to the person collecting the most trash. All volunteers welcome! Clam Bayou Nature Preserve, 4099 34th Ave. S. 11 a.m.- 12 p.m.
The Indie Flea Spring Marketplace The Indie Flea is back again for spring, and this time the local festivities will be at Coastal Creative’s colorful warehouse space. Shop pop-up boutiques, vintage clothing, mid-century furniture and art from the freshest faces in St. Petersburg. Coastal Creative, 2201 1st Ave S. 12-5 p.m.
Best Seat in the House: An Art Chair-ity Auction (with a View!) Adirondack chairs with pastel flamingos and glass windows with lionfish – it’s time to “Gulfport-ify” your home and support the Gulfport Multipurpose Senior Center in one sitting. Sixteen local artists have spent months creating colorful and long-lasting works to be auctioned off at the Third Saturday Indie Faire. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Senior Center. The Tiki Bar & Grille, 5519 Shore Blvd S. 5-7 p.m.
Saturday Market: Join Gulfport for IndieFaire In typical Gulfport fashion, Beach Boulevard will be decked out with vendors offering crafts, jewelry and high-end art for IndieFaire, a third Saturday makers’ market. Hosted by the Gulfport Merchants Chamber, it’s a fun, family friendly event with live music, street performers and designed-for-the-occasion morsels created by our local restaurants for dine-in or walk about eating. 3101 Beach Blvd S. 5-9 p.m.
Friendly Feline Faces: Kitty Adoption Event in South Pasadena What’s better than a furry new friend? Adopting instead of shopping for that addition to the family. Save Our Strays, a no-kill cat rescue organization, is looking to find forever homes for rescue kittens.
