Annual guide to the county
Welcome to The Gazette’s annual guide to Prince George’s County. Need to know who your elected officials are? Wondering where to call if your recycling isn’t picked up? Looking for a new place of worship for your family or a sports team for your child? This guide is designed to help you find out about all the services and resources that we in Prince George’s County can take advantage of throughout the year. At The Gazette weekly newspapers, we place the highest premium on accuracy and fairness in our news reporting. As local, hometown publications, The Gazette runs wedding, engagement and anniversary announcements free, making you and your neighbors more likely to find your

Bowie City Council meets on the first and third Monday of the month in Council Chambers at Bowie City Hall. Meetings begin at 8 p.m. If Monday is a holiday, council meets Tuesday. The Bowie Baysox baseball team is the Class AA minor league affiliate of Major League Baseball’s Baltimore Orioles. The Baysox are members of the Eastern League, and their season runs from April to early September. Tickets to home games may be purchased from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday on days when the team is not at home. On days when the team has home games, the ticket office is open from 10 a.m. through the end of the sixth inning.
