GCSP’S ALUMNI NETWORK
A GLOBAL NETWORK IN THE FIELD OF INTERNATIONAL SECURITY POLICY Since 1986 the GCSP offers executive education for current and next generations of policy and decision-makers in governments, international organisations, nonprofit organisations and the private sector from 45 Foundation Council member states and well beyond, including countries in transition and at risk.
Alumni membership is automatic and free of charge for all graduates of GCSP’s three long-standing courses - the International Training Course in Security Policy (ITC), the European Training Course in Security Policy (ETC), the New Issues in Security Course (NISC) - as well as the Centre’s short courses.
The Centre’s alumni community today has over 4000 graduates from 139 nations. Some 700 course graduates join the network every year and contribute to the growing and vibrant community.

40+ short courses are offered yearly in Geneva and in other countries, ranging from one-day to three week modules.
GCSP’s experts and associate fellows contribute extensively to policy and academic debates on global, regional and local peace and security issues, including a wide range of book publications, internationally renowned peer-reviewed journals, and other specialised publications in addition to GCSP Geneva Papers and Policy Papers.
A diversity of platforms for networking and dialogue The GCSP hosts conferences and events for its alumni including opportunities for professional development and networking. • The International Security Policy Conference, GCSP’s annual alumni conference in Geneva. • The GCSP is developing its offer of regional alumni conferences. • The GCSP encourages and supports the creation of regional alumni hubs.
Numerous benefits GCSP’s alumni benefit from reduced tuition fees for the Centre’s executive courses. In addition, during their stays in Geneva, reduced hotel rates are available in GCSP’s contracted hotels.
