GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP INITIATIVE: DOCTORAL FELLOWS If you recently earned your doctorate or are about to do so soon, then you can apply for GCSP’s Doctoral Fellowship programme to further build on your academic accomplishments. As a Doctoral Fellow with interests aligned to the GCSP’s areas of expertise, you will have the opportunity to publish and teach in an inspiring multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.

Key opportunities

As a Doctoral Fellow, you will contribute to the GCSP’s aim of promoting peace, security and stability through executive education, applied policy research and dialogue.

Doctoral Fellows are expected to pursue full-time independent research and writing based on the topic outlined in their proposal, submitted at the time of application.

The programme is open to holders of a valid Swiss work permit or EU citizens. If you are interested in this opportunity, and wish to apply please send your CV (maximum 2 pages), three letters of references, as well as a personal statement (no longer than 2,000 words) outlining your research and proposal for the fellowship. The application deadline is 30 April 2015 for a start date in September 2015.

Global Fellowship Initiative Doctoral Fellows are part of the GCSP Global Fellowship Initiative, which brings together at the GCSP in Geneva government officials, executives, scholars and young leaders from around the world.

Emerging Security Challenges • Security implications of emerging technologies, resource management challenges (such as food and water security); • Transnational security challenges (arms proliferation, cyber vulnerabilities and terrorism). Geopolitics and Global Futures • Emerging strategic technologies; • New international paradigms; • Outer space.
