CI Indonesia, collaborated with local partners, has supported Gunung Gede Pangarango National Park (GGPNP) and Gunung Halimun-Salak (GHSNP) in West Java (Gedepahala program) since 1998. Specific restoration programs called "Green Wall" and "Tree Adoption" in an area of 300 ha at GGPNP has started since 2008. The overall program is not only to restore the forest structures, but also to cultivate green behavior mindset to local community.
Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park is the upstream of four watersheds, namely Citarum, Cimandiri, Cisadane and Ciliwung. The watersheds stream down towards 3 provinces of West Java, Special Capital Region Jakarta and Banten, and are the main source of quality water for the community and industries. There are 94 spots producing 594,6 billions litres of water per year or as much as 19,1 million litres of water per second (Potential Waterheads Data of Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park, 2015).

500 hectares restored (Green Wall & Tree Adoption)
7,500 family heads from 6 villages aware and educated as well as re-optimize their existing potentials
200,000 trees and 50,000 fruit trees planted
1,475 local students educated on environmental issues and problems
Water pipeline as far as 6 km for water storage tanks
Hydroelectric power as powerfull as 500 watts for Kampung Tengek village
~60,000 visitors to Bodogol Conservation Education Center including global visitors
13 Javan Gibbons released to their natural habitat
Observation found 24 species of birds and five species of mammals occupied the restored area
