Chapter 8 | The Isles in the East At the Ends of the Earth

It is not too difficult to figure out whom Isaiah especially refers to when he continually prophesies of the isles in the East in the last days. We can all reason this out pretty simply yet one must really wonder when some out there attempt to identify these prophesies with places West of Israel when they must be East. Some even propagate lands not known for isles when they must be isles. Even more mediocre, some apply known locations close to Israel in Isaiah’s time when he tells us they are located at the ends of the earth. It’s almost as if they are not even reading the Bible. We will offer those scriptures, but follow the logic. Isaiah refers to the Isles in the East at the ends of the earth many times. So let’s go to Israel on a map in our minds and take King Solomon’s journey. There are no isles in the Red Sea of significance. Saudi Arabia has what they call rocks in that region mostly not pronounced islands. As we head East of Israel and the Red Sea, we have to travel to India to find the sizable island of Sri Lanka but that’s an isle not isles. We have to continue to the East Indies to arrive at significant isles. The explorers knew this. Understand Indonesia is in Ham’s territory not Shem’s. Taiwan is an isle not isles. All that is left is a piece of Malaysia not mainland and the Philippines who, by the way, had historical ownership of Sabah which state accounts for half of Malaysia’s isles. Other than misleading claims usually from the British, we have never found a coherent claim from Malaysia nor are they nor Indonesia known for worshipping the Creator of the Bible. It is not difficult to ascertain, Isaiah is referring to the Philippines. We are not the first to figure this out as there is a very large church out there who takes these prophesies of the Isles of the East

and attempts to ascribe them all to one man at the top. We believe this is the usurping of prophesies of the Philippines as a people by one man for personal gain and we reject that. This matches 2 Chronicles perfectly.

2 Chronicles 9:21 KJV For the king’s ships (Solomon’s) went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram (Hiram): EVERY THREE YEARS once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes and peacocks.

We will prove in the next chapter, every one of these resources is not only native to but points to the Philippine region. One would think scholars would focus on the entire list but they rarely do. We will also test the ships of Solomon’s era and you will see this also firmly identifies the region of the Philippines. Solomon’s navy was navigating to the isles of the East that Isaiah would later predict in an end times context as would Ezekiel and even Messiah Himself. We will get to prophecy as well. This also coincides with the sons of Joktan who in Genesis 10 migrated from Iran to the Far East to the isles. This just keeps coming into focus more and more and by the end of this book, you will see clearly. We are not covering the scriptures in content in this chapter but simply looking for geographic markers which will help us to locate these isles of the East as Isaiah actually does so. We will cover prophetic significance later (Ch.16).

Isaiah 41 KJV 1-2 Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment. Who raised up the righteous man from the east… 3 …he had not gone with his feet… 5 The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came…

Just look for the clues and we will cover these in detail in a later chapter. These are islands who will come to judgment, righteous men. The word in Hebrew could be man or men and in looking at all of these in context, it’s men not man. The isles at the ends of the earth. See for yourself if these do not lead to the Philippines. They certainly do not lead to

Africa, Yemen, India, Britain, Peru, nor Spain. In this promise to the Lost Tribes of Israel, Isaiah becomes specific.

Isaiah 60:9 KJV Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

Where is Tarshish? Mindanao, Philippines. This is the Philippines. The isles of silver, Tarshish and gold, Ophir even. Isaiah is clear.

Isaiah 42:4 KJV He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

These isles await the restoration of His law and again, they will come to judge. We see this as a recurring theme. Without this restored geography, we are massively missing the proper context by which to interpret prophecies like this.

Isaiah 42:10 KJV Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the ends of the earth, ye that go down (South) to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

These isles who sing are again at the ends of the earth, south and really, East from Israel and not just one but all the inhabitants generally like to sing. That is a real tough one.

Isaiah 24:15 KJV: Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires (‘owr: אוֹר: actually AUR), [8] even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea. NIV: Therefore in the east give glory to the LORD; exalt the name of the LORD, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.

Isaiah uses the Hebrew word for light here which is oddly interpreted fires. In fact, a strong look at this word leads to the three letters of Ophir (really AUPYR) in fact demonstrating that this is Ophir’s origin. The NIV renders this as East but again it is AUR or AUPYR, Ophir. That is the isles of the East.

Isaiah 46:11 KJV Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: `ayit: טיע: Bird of Prey. ‘iysh: שיאׁ: Man, Men, Great men. [65]

What would be the far country from the East with the greatest bird of prey? The Philippines has the largest eagle on Earth. However, this is far and to the East of Israel. We cover the eagle later too.

Isaiah 41:3-5 KJV He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet. Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he. The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.

The isles at the ends of the earth who draw near to him and fear Him. They are the same who are waiting for His law to be restored. The same who have the ships of Tarshish.

Isaiah 41:9 KJV Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.

Chief men from the ends of the earth who will come on...? The ships of Tarshish, Philippines. Let’s bring in other prophets who were also aware of these isles of the East and their role. This was known in ancient times and really up until the late 1800s.

Ezekiel 27:3 KJV And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which are the merchant of the people for many isles…

Jeremiah 25:22-23 KJV And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea, Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners…

Jeremiah 31:10 KJV Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off…

These are rebukes of Tyre, Solomon’s navy and deal with the many isles of the Philippines. Ezekiel speaks of “many isles” at the “entry of the sea.” Could this be the entry of the East Indian Ocean? Likely. Jeremiah affirms this and proclaims these isles are “beyond the sea.” Which sea? The Erythaean Sea as recorded in Jeremiah’s time by Heroditus also known as the Indian Ocean as it is called today. We covered maps that pinpoint Chryse (Ophir) and Argyre (Tarshish) there as well. He, then, talks of isles declaring the word of Yahuah “afar off.” He is not nor is anyone talking about Greece, Britain nor Canada. These isles are East at the ends of the Earth and they are identified as Tarshish, Ophir and Sheba.

Matthew 12:42 KJV (PARALLEL IN LUKE 11:31) The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost (utmost) parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon…

This is the Queen of Sheba who came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon. Where were the uttermost extremities of the earth in Messiah’s day? Even in 194 B.C., some versions of Eratosthenes mapped the isles of the East in the area of the Philippines as the uttermost parts. [50] Additionally, so did Pomponius Mela in 43 A.D., Dionysius the Tourist in 124 A.D. and even, Behaim in

1492, the year Columbus set sail to go to Ophir and Tarshish though he never made it that far. [18] The prophets are not foretelling of Ethiopia which is not nor has ever been known as isles nor Yemen nor even India as India’s isles are the East Indies which included the Philippines. Put it all together and this spells out exact directions to the region of Philippines. First, these are isles not an isle and not mainland nor a peninsula and a multitude or entire archipelago. They must be East of Israel, East of the Red Sea and really, East of Iran. These are in Shem’s territory not Ham’s nor Japheth’s. They are known as the isles of Gold and Silver and even named as Tarshish and we know scripture equates that as the Biblical silver and Ophir next to it as the Biblical gold. This land is afar off, a far country to the East in the uttermost parts of the earth, a threeyear round trip journey. This nation must identify with the greatest bird of prey and the Philippines does as well. Then, it must be located beyond the Indian Ocean to the East. Look at a map. What did Isaiah and the other prophets just do here? They gave us detailed directions leading to the Philippines region. It cannot be Sri Lanka as that is not beyond the Indian Ocean nor isles. Taiwan is only an isle. The other archipelagos are Indonesia in Ham’s territory and Malaysia with no supporting true history other than being mistaken by some and part of it belonged to the Philippines in ancient times. The Philippines appears on multiple maps as the ancient land of gold and when we get to the abundant history, was called Ophir and Tarshish by historic precedence. No other nation can compete in claim. This is the Philippines and no where else on Earth and an examination of the resources listed in these narratives affirms this.

“Most of the gold in the prehistoric and early historic periods would, however, undoubtedly have been extracted by panning alluvial sediments, a technique requiring little capital investment in equipment and no specialist technology, but unfortunately leaving no discernable archaeological signature.” – Anna T. N. Bennett, ArcheoSciences, 33 | 2009, 99-107. [417]
