2018 SMALL BUSINESS SUMMIT TELLS SMALL BIZ, “Come Get This Schmoneh!”

In recognition of National Small Business Week on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, Mayor Eric Garcetti and his expanded Community Business Team led by Sonya Kay Blake, hosted the 2018 Small Business Summit at LA Trade Tech. The yearly summit invites aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses to discover; the numerous opportunities, capital and resources available for certified socially and economically disadvantaged, women owned, and disabled veteran businesses - among others. Vendors offering opportunities, a crowd ready to network and complimentary lunch with vegetarian options was served to all attendees. Rambo House was credited for coordinating the successful event. A host of panelists presented strategies for profitability, accessing capital in the form of loans, winning major contracts, certification 101, and even social media mastery tips from Deborah Deras.

A first step for many, the City offers LA Business Assistance Virtual Network (LABAVN.org) as a starting point and encourages all to register NOW! So to recap! FRIDAY, May 4TH Los Angeles’ first Mexican American museum/cultural center is preparing for their annual “Taco Madness 2018” featuring more bars, tacos, music, and craft brews.
