DTLA BRACES FOR NEW INDOOR DINING COVID MANDATES POISED TO TAKE EFFECT NOV 4TH To enter any indoor public space in DTLA, patrons must show vaccination proof or a negative Covid test within 72 hours, or sometimes both.

The Historic Core Strikes Again... Just in time for horror movie season, but this time, the suspense isn't on the big screen, oh no...

This participator incident happened to take place in full view of neighbors located directly across the road, thanks to the loft's large bay windows and a couple's steady cell phone camera.
Newly identified Rudy Anderson and now very deceased desperado managed to make his way inside the Sante Fe Lofts on 6th and Main, taking a young woman hostage while barricading himself inside her apartment.
This murderous rampage ended with a flashbang, a panicked suspect, members of S.W.A.T. making their way inside, and a barrage of bullets for all the world to see. Even neighbors upstairs and below can now be streamed across the globe showing their panicked reactions to the flash bangs and gunshots, proving once again there will never be a shortage of trauma in Downtown Los Angeles. Lieutenant Eric Strong, a nearly 30-year veteran of law enforcement, announced his extensive policy platform in an email to elected, community and labor leaders across the county. As I listen and learn about the community’s far reaching concerns and needs, these commitments will grow and change. That is how we make a stronger Los Angeles.”
Strongly Opposed to Deputy Gangs
If elected he would be the first African American Sheriff in Los Angeles County history. “It’s time to reform a dated institution that has fallen far behind, and Sheriff Villanueva has shown that he is not up to the task,” said LASD Department Veteran Eric Strong.

Over his nearly 30-years in law enforcement, Eric Strong has led units across virtually every function of the LA County Sheriff’s Department, from patrol to courts, custody, investigations, internal affairs, risk management and auditing. He is the only candidate that has led investigations into deputy gangs. Those investigations have led to multiple terminations.

Among his many commitments, if elected, Strong would be the first Sheriff in LA County history to oppose building a new men’s central jail. In a departure from current Sheriff Alex Villanueva’s approach, Strong would also attend the Citizens Advisory Committee listening sessions to ensure families and survivors of police violence are heard. Strong also pledged to eliminate Sheriff Villanueva’s use of force policies which enable kicking suspects with steel toed boots and hitting them with flashlights. MORE FENCING USED TO KEEP OUT THE UNHOUSED

e don’t care where you go, but you gotta get out of here seems to be the attitude from City Hall and the multiples of neighborhood callers who persistently called 311 to have the city unhouse the unhoused from their unhousing that once lined the sidewalks of Main and 6th streets. The Historic now joins several locations where bright aluminum fencing has been placed to prohibit the temporary encampments that seem to spring up at random locations throughout the early days of Covid. First Leimert Park, Echo Park, then MacArthur Park, and now it’s Main Street.

With a City ordinance taking effect in September, sitting, sleeping, lying, storing personal property or otherwise obstructing the public right of way; either two feet by a fire hydrant, five feet from an entrance or exit, and anywhere blocking a bike path, those now violating the new ordinance are to be given one of two options; Check into a pre-determined hotel or shelter, or have their items bulldozed. While plenty still oppose the idea stating the ordinance and passing of such does little to solve the homeless problem, the City Council voted almost unanimously in favor of the regulation.
