Walking While not ideal for getting around the entire city, walking can be very pleasant in certain areas, particularly downtown Naples. Many restaurants, shops, and attractions are within walking distance of each other in this area.

Biking: Naples has made efforts to become more bike-friendly. There are bike lanes and paths in certain areas, and many resorts offer bike rentals. However, biking might not be suitable for long distances or during the hot summer months.

LOCAL TIPS & TRICKS Early Bird Gets the Parking! If you plan to visit the beaches or downtown, aim to arrive early. Parking spots fill up quickly, especially during the peak season. Locals know that the early morning hours offer not only better parking options but also cooler weather for outdoor activities.

Sunset Spot Secrets While everyone flocks to Naples Pier for the sunset, locals have their secret spots. Consider Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park or Barefoot Beach Preserve for fewer crowds and equally stunning sunset views.

Off-Peak Dining Many upscale restaurants offer "early bird" or "late-night" specials. This is not only a great way to enjoy fine dining at a more reasonable price but also avoid the crowds.

Shelling Secrets Naples is famous for its seashells. For the best shelling experience, head to Vanderbilt Beach early in the morning after a storm. You'll likely find some exquisite shells washed ashore.

Respect Wildlife Naples is home to diverse wildlife. When you encounter dolphins, manatees, or nesting sea turtles, maintain a respectful distance and adhere to wildlife protection guidelines.
