Thanksgiving Weekend
Share the holiday magic with the ones you love! Kick off your holiday season this Thanksgiving weekend with a spectacular treat for the whole family. New this year, you will be delighted as Broadway designers have transformed The Nutcracker set into a dazzling and whimsical pop-up book. Featuring live music from The Hanover Theatre Nutcracker Orchestra, this production will enchant you with its brilliant dancing and vibrant costumes. The Nutcracker is a two-act ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky based on the stories of E.T.A. Hoffmann and Alexandre Dumas and first performed in Russia in December 1892. The story revolves around Clara, a young girl who receives a nutcracker doll as a Christmas gift and then enters a magical world where the nutcracker and other characters come to life.

GROUP SALES FAQS Q. How do I buy group tickets? A. To book your group, call 508.471.1689 or email groupsales@thehanovertheatre.org. Let us know the best way to reach you. Please include the name of the show that you are interested in (including day, date and time) and the potential number of people in your group. Amy will get back to you with the availability for your preferred show(s). Q. How many people must a group have to be eligible for the discounted group rate? A. Typically groups must have a minimum of 10 people attending a select show and performance time. Discounts and group counts may vary based on individual shows. Q. When must a group pay for tickets? A. We allow flexibility in reserving a set number of seats, but the final count and final payment is due 30 days prior to date of performance. Any group order placed within 30 days of the performance or show date requires full payment at the time of order. Q. What types of payment do you accept? A. We accept payments in the form of a check, money order or a valid major credit card. Personal checks are not allowed for group payment less than 15 days before the performance. Q. If I want to add people to my group, am I allowed to increase my number of tickets? A. Yes, the number of tickets may be increased or decreased prior to final payment. These are subject to availability and may not be added after final payment. If the required minimum number of tickets is not met, then the discount will not apply and tickets will revert to full price. Group tickets may not be exchanged for another performance and are non-refundable. Q. Are there any handling fees with group tickets? A. There is a $1 per ticket handling fee included in the ticket price, which is much less than the $6-$14 fees typically charged when buying single full price tickets. POLICIES + IMPORTANT INFO The following information is presented to inform our patrons and to maintain an orderly and thriving theatrical environment and experience. Management always strives to be fair, ethical and understanding of our patrons’ needs. For other answers to frequently asked questions visit TheHanoverTheatre.org/faq. Accessible Seating: See page 29 for info. ASL/Audio Description: See page 29 for info. Assistive Listening Devices: Devices are available from the house manager. Please inquire at the box office or ask an usher. These cannot be reserved in advance, but the number of devices available should be sufficient for the usual demand. You will be asked to leave your driver’s license as a deposit when borrowing an assistive listening device. Box Office Hours: (in person and by telephone) Regular hours Monday-Saturday, 10am-6pm, (or until curtain) Sundays, only if there is a performance, noon until curtain. Summer hours: (Memorial Day-Labor Day) Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm or until curtain. Saturdays and Sundays, only if there is a performance, 4 hours prior to event until curtain for evening performances and noon until curtain for matinee performances. Closed on all major holidays. Cameras (Recording Devices): Our standard policy is that all such devices are prohibited from use in the theatre, and offenders may be ejected without compensation. On rare occasions, specific performers or engagements may request that this policy be suspended, in which case we will advise patrons by covering lobby signage which lists the standard policy. Cell Phones: Out of respect to the performers and to fellow audience members, please remember to silence all cell phones while in the theatre. Children: All patrons MUST have a valid ticket. Parents are discouraged from bringing children under five years of age to performances which are not specifically oriented to children. For these reasons, and for the comfort of all audience members,
please consider carefully whether it is appropriate to bring children to the theatre. Concessions: Please do not bring outside food or drinks to the theatre. Snacks and beverages are available for sale in the lobbies. First Aid: Please speak with the house manager or any of the ushers if you need first aid or have any sort of accident or medical emergency. Insurance regulations require that such instances be documented immediately. Inclement Weather Policy: The nature of touring performance schedules is such that it is generally impossible for us to reschedule cancelled performances. Therefore, with very rare exceptions, our policy is that the show will go on regardless of the weather as long as the performers are able to perform. Please make travel plans in accordance with anticipated weather conditions, but please DO NOT endanger yourself. The theatre strongly recommends that you add on ticket insurance through Booking Protect to protect your purchase. Protect Your Ticket Purchase with Booking Protect: You can protect your investment by participating in Booking Protect, a new ticket insurance option. You can choose to select Booking Protect as an add-on before finalizing your transaction. Booking Protect is only available at the time of purchase and allows you to receive a full refund of the purchase price should you or anyone in your party be unable to attend due to injury, illness, adverse weather conditions and more. Prohibited: Items and activities which are prohibited include, but are not limited to: smoking, weapons, outside food or drinks, camera or recording devices, cell phones not silenced or set to vibrate, laser pointers, disruptive or abusive language, pets (except those assisting persons with disabilities) and persons exhibiting intoxication or drug use. Offenders may be removed from the theatre without compensation.
