The Hanover Theatre partnered with the national tour of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT and South High Community School as part of our second annual AdoptA-School program. South High, located in downtown Worcester, has a student population of 1,200 individuals from 70 different countries, many of whom have never had access to live theatre before this initiative. As we seek innovative ways to fulfill our mission of fostering a love and appreciation for the performing arts in audiences of today and tomorrow, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT presents the perfect opportunity for our director of

education, Meghan Patrick, to collaborate with school administrators and teachers on a curriculum-based arts integration program. Over a period of several weeks, all South High students participated in lessons within each subject that incorporated Joseph’s themes, historical and sociological elements, artistic aspects and musical score. Around the lobby, you will notice several displays featuring South High students’ work related to this project, including poetry, essays and art installations. Ballet Arts Worcester’s Jennifer Agbay trained students to perform a musical number from the show. to the school this week to offer coaching to the students. During the final minute of the finale, select students will perform this choreography in the aisles. To ensure that all students could attend this live theatrical production, the Worcester Regional Transit Authority provided free transportation to and from the matinee performances this weekend. Please help us welcome South High’s students so that they know that The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts is a part of their home!

the Future The theatre’s future success depends on continuing to deliver a world-class experience; to maintain the highest level of quality in every aspect of the theatergoing experience. Undeniably, the high caliber of the experience we deliver is inextricably linked to the beauty and perfection of the historic theatre itself. We must do better than simple “upkeep” of the theatre. We must preserve and care for it like the asset that it is. In addition, the very definition of a world-class venue will evolve, and we must evolve with it, embracing changing technologies and trends. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many foundations, businesses and individuals that participated in The Hanover Theatre’s recently concluded Securing the FutureCapital Campaign. More than $3.6 million was raised to support the ongoing preservation and maintenance of our historic facility. While we are grateful to all of our contributors, we are only able to list donors beginning at the $500 level.

POLICIES & INFORMATION (continued) Gift Certificates: These are available in any denomination by calling or visiting the box office, and may be used by the recipient in full or partial payment for event tickets. Gift Certificates cannot be used in online transactions. If used in a telephone sale, the gift certificate MUST be mailed to the box office before the tickets purchased will be mailed to the customer. Alternately, tickets can be held at the box office and the gift certificate redeemed in person at any point up to the curtain time of the performance(s) purchased. Groups: Attending the theatre is even more fun when you bring a group. Groups of 15 or more may be eligible for a discount. Please contact the box office for information including reservations, deposits, deadlines, ticket distribution and other details. Hours of Operation: Monday through Saturday, 10:00am to 6:00pm, Sunday (if there is a performance): 12noon to 6:00pm, and until intermission on performance evenings, in person and by telephone. So that we may best serve patrons attending each event, please avoid visiting the box office to purchase tickets to future events during the hour just prior to curtain time. Inclement Weather Policy: The nature of touring performance schedules is such that it is generally impossible for us to reschedule cancelled performances. Therefore, with vary rare exceptions, our policy is that the show will go on regardless of the weather as long as the performers are able to perform. Please make travel plans in accordance with anticipated weather conditions, but DO NOT endanger yourself. Lost and Found: Management is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Items found at the theatre will be held by the house manager. If you have lost an item, please contact the box office as soon as possible to make a report. You will then be contacted if the item has been found. Retrieval of the item is the responsibility of the customer. Items not claimed within 30 days will be donated or disposed of without compensation.

Prohibited: Items and activities which are prohibited include (but are not limited to): smoking, weapons, outside food or drink, camera or recording devices, cell phones not silenced or set to vibrate, laser pointers, disruptive or abusive language, pets (except those assisting persons with disabilities), and persons exhibiting intoxication or drug use. Offenders may be removed from the theatre without compensation. Rental of the Theatre: The Hanover Theatre is available for appropriate organizations and for appropriate activities. Please contact Mark Steina, special events coordinator, at 508.849.9423 or e-mail mark@thehanovertheatre.org for further information. Resale of Tickets for Profit: Ticketholders may on occasion be in a position where they have purchased tickets that they later cannot personally use and will want to donate, give, trade or sell these tickets to friends or acquaintances. Management does not discourage private transactions of this nature. However, we may take appropriate actions to thwart the organized resale of tickets for profit by third parties, which we do not condone. The public is advised to be careful purchasing tickets from individuals they do not know personally, as such tickets may be void and in such cases admission to the theatre will be denied without compensation. Standing Room: All persons entering the theatre must have a valid ticket, and are not allowed to stand in the back or aisles. Tax Deductible Donations: As we are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, donations to The Hanover Theatre are tax-deductible to the fullest extent provided by law. Please consult with your tax professional. Ushers: The Hanover Theatre uses a dedicated and trained force of volunteer ushers to seat and assist our guests. If you would like to volunteer to usher or to provide other administrative assistance to the organization, please contact our operations manager, Meghan Patrick, at 508.471.1793 for details.
