Chadwicks unveils its first Eco Centre

Chadwicks have recently officially announced the launch of their first ECO Centre at its Galway branch on Wellpark Road. The Chadwicks ECO Centre is a one-stop shop for green projects of any size, providing the very latest in renewable products for everything from deep retrofits to new builds. The launch of the first ECO Centre forms part of a nationwide roll-out that will see three dedicated sustainable centres at Chadwicks branches across Ireland in the coming six months. To coincide with the launch of the ECO Centre, Chadwicks Galway also recently reopened its doors following a complete refresh of the branch. The latest refurbishment is part of the ongoing nationwide branch refresh by Chadwicks Group which commenced in 2018. Chadwicks Galway is the 24th branch to have undergone a complete revamp.

Eco Building Merchant

The Chadwicks ECO Centre has trained sustainability advisors on hand to provide expert advice on the latest sustainable building products including insulation and airtightness solutions, ventilation systems, heat pumps and controls, solar energy, and water-saving products. As members of the Irish Green Building Council, Chadwicks aims to support customers in reducing their environmental impact with sustainable building solutions. Using eco-friendly materials such as insulation and ventilation systems, the ECO Centre shows customers how to increase energy efficiency and achieve a high BER (building energy rating) for both new builds and existing properties. Demonstrating the latest building technology, the ECO Centre also highlights how customers can achieve a ‘Nearly Zero Energy Building’ (nZEB) rating, which results in low energy costs and carbon emissions without compromising on comfort and warmth.

Extended product range

Also new to Chadwicks Galway is the Fixing Centre, a store within a store concept which aims to provide builders, engineers, and specialist tradespeople with all the tools and materials they may need in one convenient location. The Fixing Centre offers a host of fixing materials which includes chemical anchors, concrete anchors, nuts, bolts, nails, and fixings, perfectly suited for any trade job. A wide range of power tools are also available at the Fixing Centre - from entry-level models to top of the range carpentry tools. The new store will also offer the latest cordless freehand tools, complete with a registry system to ensure tools are kept safe from theft. The branch also features brand-new kitchen ranges in the Panelling Centre showroom and the latest displays of Doors and Floors featuring brand new product lines and product innovations. For the busy tradesperson, the branch now has a new changing room facility and has expanded its workwear range offering best-in-class professional clothing. Commenting on the rebrand, Michelle Fahy, Chadwicks Galway Branch Manager, said: “We are delighted to be the first branch to feature an Eco Centre.
