CEDRAL the new home for Tegral
FAREWELL TO TEGRAL AND A WARM WELCOME TO ETEX IRELAND AND CEDRAL SLATES
At Tegral, they have some news that is really worth writing home about. They have been working with you, building for generations, proud to be your partner in construction across Ireland since 1936. Now a new generation awaits, as they say farewell to Tegral and give a warm welcome to their new Identity, Etex Ireland, and their new commercial brand for all residential products – CEDRAL. In 1988 Tegral joined the global building materials group Etex, who are leading the way in terms of lightweight, sustainable building materials and inspiring ways of living across the world. With a passion for perfection, a dedication to customer experience and a commitment to sustainability, as a global group, Etex has looked closely at how they can facilitate improvements in all of these areas for you - their customers. They want to grow together with you towards a promising future. One strong company at your service, for all your construction and architectural needs. To this end, they will now offer four commercial brands, each specialising in a core area of business to optimise your experience. This will allow them to work even more closely with you to ensure they offer you the best products, services and solutions for today and tomorrow. It was great to see a number of Hardware Association Ireland members on RTE’s DIY SOS: The Big Build programme in recent weeks. Filmed over the summer, the DIY SOS team, including presenter Baz Ashmawy and an army of tradespeople and volunteers, banded together to renovate the homes of deserving families. In the first week the DIY SOS team visited McMahons’ Builders Providers in Limerick and the following week they visited Stakelum`s Home & Hardware in Tipperary to collect essential supplies for the renovation of the homes of deserving families including that of a 13 year old girl who suffered devastating disabilities following an accident, and the family of a husband CEDRAL – one brand for the entire house EURONIT – one brand for agriculture EQUITONE – one brand for architecture VIRIFORM – one brand for commercial and structural engineering
What does this mean for you? As part of the rebrand, Tegral slates are now Cedral slates, as they unite globally under the name Cedral, where their mission is to build more beautiful worlds. Committed to a sustainable future, committed to generations to come. Paddy Kelly, Managing Director of Tegral / Etex Ireland says, “This is an incredibly exciting time for us and we look forward to seeing the new Cedral brand out there in the market, in the yards of Builder’s Merchants, in the hands of roofing contractors and on the roofs of homes all across Ireland. We have been part of Etex for a long time now and this rebrand is one that now unites us to face global challenges together, like housing shortages, sustainability and more. Our commitment to continual innovation and ever improving standards remains unwavering. We are the same people you know and trust, still manufactured in Athy, still Guaranteed Irish, just with a new name.” In the coming weeks, Cedral slates will start to be rolled out, still with the same flagship product names of Rivendale and Thrutone Endurance, and we invite you now to check out the

new dedicated residential website www.cedral.ie who unfortunately didn’t get to complete his home renovation before his untimely passing. In the third and final week the team visited Leixlip to fully renovate and retrofit the home of a family with twin boys in need of round-the-clock care. Many other HAI retailers and suppliers also made great contributions, donating supplies (from Building Materials and Timber to Garden Products) and their time to families in need, allowing major housing renovations to be completed in as little as nine days! Well done to all involved! The full lists of retailers and suppliers for these projects can be found on the RTE website - www.rte.ie/tv/
