Path To Publishing

Yes, I am a literary agent—among other things—to about seven authors that I’ve been working with for years. I’ve landed them book deals with publishers such as Kensington, Urban Books, Simon and Schuster, Random House, and other independent publishers with distribution deals.

Not too long ago, two of my clients received publishing offers. One accepted and the other decided not to, ultimately choosing to take everything she’s learned under me plus the resources and curriculum offered by my company, Path To Publishing, and self-publish her book. Both authors have studied the craft of writing and the business of publishing for years under my guidance, but when it came down to it, they each had different goals that required different paths to publishing.

I couldn’t be prouder of them both for choosing the path that is going to allow them to achieve their literary dreams, visions, and goals.

Although I’m not taking on any new clients, if you want to learn the different paths to publishing your book and find the one that’s right for you, be sure to take our free "What's Your Path to Publishing?" quiz.

P.S. It took five years to land a book deal for the author who ultimately turned her contract down. So, don't be surprised if your goals change for each particular literary project or for your literary goals overall.
