Interview by David R. Navarro

David R. Navarro: Tell us a little bit about yourself. How long have you been in the modeling industry?

Rebecca Écarlate: I started off modeling when I was 15 years old. I was in a big time agency. When I was 19 years old I left the agency. I went to college and then I went back in 2020. Wow have times changed!

DN: What made you decide to be serious about modeling?

RE: I decided to become serious about modeling because it takes a team of artists to make everything work. It’s an art. It’s not something to laugh about.

DN: Which people or books have had the most influence on your modeling career and why?

RE: Tyra Banks was my biggest inspiration. She taught me how to smile with my eyes. She lights up the whole room with her personality. I watched her talk show as a kid.

DN: What would you say is the #1 key to success in the modeling industry?

RE: Always be yourself! Don’t copy anyone. Don’t be a cookie cutter model.

DN: Can you give us some examples of things you are doing or have done to expand your fanbase?

RE: I have expanded my fan base by doing all different kinds of modeling. From body painting to cosplay.

DN: Talk about the biggest failure you’ve had. What did you learn from it?

RE: It was not showing up for a shoot, I actually got blasted for it. I regretted it later, but now I’m always on time.

DN: What advice can you give other young men and women who want to follow in your footsteps?

RE: Don’t be pressured into things you don’t want to do! If something makes you feel uncomfortable don’t do it.

DN: What does a typical day in your week look like?

RE: I’m usually starting my day around 7am, I go to auditions, I wear little make up with my hair tied up, a tank top and leggings with high heels. Then it’s off to my photoshoots, I go all over New York to Miami! It’s honestly insane, but I go to two shoots a day.

DN: What keeps you going when things get tough in the business?

RE: It’s getting the pictures back and seeing everyone who participated getting the satisfaction.

DN: Please list your website and/or your social media platforms.
