The Heat Seekers: How long in the music industry?

Roger Hill: I’ve been in the music industry since November 2021. However I have been singing since the age of 5.

THS: What do you like about singing the most?

RH: The ability to be creative and the smooth sounds that come with it.

THS: Who inspires you?

RH: Gospel Music is my inspiration. Butt I also enjoy R & B, Gospel, Jazz, and Old School Rap.

THS: What music do you have out currently?

RH: Currently I have a single called “Come Back To Me” I wrote myself and produced by Rick Marcel. It’s a smooth tune and ballroom friendly.

THS: What are your upcoming projects?

RH: I have a new release coming out in June called “Do What You Wanna Do”. Its up-tempo and it will make you dance.

THS: Will you be collaborating with anyone this year?

RH: I’m currently working on an EP that will touch a woman’s soul. I’m excited about this one. I’m in talks with a few other major artists for collaboration so stay tuned.

THS: What is your take on today’s method of music distribution?

RH: With today’s distribution of music, its all new to me. As an independent artist, one will definitely have to work hard to get their music heard.

THS: Is singing a fulltime job for you?

RH: No. I am a Licensed Commercial General and Electrical Contractor.

THS: If you could change the world with music, what would you do?

RH: If I could change the world with music, I would write love more love songs. The world needs more Love in today’s society.

THS: Who is your favorite artist?

RH: Will Downing and also my fraternity brother of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
