A NOTE FROM GRACE The Hivery is a beautiful, art-filled space located in the heart of downtown Mill Valley. Our signature arched windows look down on the town square. With high ceilings and incredible natural light, the space is bathed in sunlight during the day and sparkles with overhead, spot and table lamp lighting at night. It’s the perfect space to rent for Board of Directors’ meetings, retreats, fundraisers, cocktail receptions and more. – Grace K.

About Our Space

The entire Hivery space is available for private rental in the evenings and on weekends. The Creative Studio is available to rent during business hours Monday through Friday. Members receive a discount on our rental prices. We love to rent to people who believe in what we're doing and feel a connection and love for the space. Approximately 3000 square feet Maximum capacity 50 people Large entry atrium and expansive open main space One very large conference room (18 feet by 7.5 feet; seats 26 people) Two medium sized conference rooms (11 feet by 13 feet each) Two small conference rooms (7 feet by 7 feet each) Outdoor deck adjacent to entrance Note: The small outdoor deck off of the Creative Studio is off limits. We do not have permission from The Balboa Café to use this small deck.

AMENITIES COAT RACK Get comfy and hang your coat on the coat rack to the left as you come in the front door next to the door that leads you to the bathrooms. BATHROOMS The bathrooms are through the door on the left as you come in from the front door and to the left of the coat rack. Renters need to unlock the bathrooms at the beginning of their event. And please remember to lock the bathrooms before you leave after your event ends. The key can be found in the hallway closet. It is hanging from a hook on the back of the door. STORAGE BASKETS ​Wicker baskets are available throughout the space. Please use these to store your purse and other personal belongings. WATER Filtered water is connected to the inside of the fridge. You can find the button on the left-hand side of the fridge. PARKING There are 85 spaces of metered parking onsite and an attendant parking garage 1 block away.

REQUIREMENTS, RULES & FEES

REQUIREMENTS: Space Rental Fee General Liability Insurance or Business Insurance Security Deposit Cleaning Fee RULES: • No smoking • No alcohol (The Hivery does not have a liquor license) • 50 max capacity • You are responsible for staffing your event • You are also responsible for providing all refreshments, food and supplies • No excessively loud music • No disruptions to Balboa Café downstairs (no hopping or jumping, please!) • Middle table in the space cannot be moved FEES: Evening rental: The evening rental is exclusive use of the entire space Mon. – Fri. in the evening from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Member price is $350/evening. Non-Member Price is $500/evening.* Weekend days: Includes exclusive use of the entire space on Saturday or Sunday from 8 am-9 pm. Member price is $750/day. Non-Member Price is $1500/day.* The Creative Studio (our large, multipurpose meeting room) is available for rent during business hours with a two-hour minimum. The Creative Studio seats 20 people board room style and 30 people theater style. Member price is $75/hr (two hour minimum) or $500 for an all-day rental (9am-6 pm). Non-Member Price is $100/hr (two hour minimum) or $600 for the day.
