Hiking and nature trails, Project Adventure, indoor and outdoor sport, vocational opportunities, growing and eating their own vegetables through the agricultural program are all experiences Longview provides to help children and youth gain selfesteem, learn to take risks, and acquire basic skills.
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS: ◆◆ Completed the Longview Farm Campus under budget and ahead of schedule ◆◆ Achieved our Capital Campaign fundraising goal ◆◆ Increased the number of children served (both residential and educational) ◆◆ Created a sustainable model by the consolidation of two programs into one ◆◆ Saw the children from the former Knight Children’s Center adapt amazingly well (and quickly) to their new surroundings But the Third Century Campaign was never only about creating cost efficiencies and building modern facilities. It was about the healthy environment the campus provides and its positive impact on children and youth. In the words of one child on his first day:
“This place is awesome!”
THANK You for making Longview Farm a better place for our kids.
