Count the
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” — Anne Frank Making a change in the world starts with realizing you have the power and ability to change who you are. One of the most important life skills you can possess is knowing how to react to circumstances around you. Change begins with you. Each of us can wake up and change how we go about our day. We can decide that it’s going to be a great day. In ancient Greece, "God helps those who help themselves,” was a motto to inspire people for self-help. Make one small positive change each day. This could be for yourself, like cutting back on your caffeine intake or going for a walk. The change could be doing something for another person, such as making them breakfast, bringing in your neighbors’ barrels or perhaps simply saying “hello” to passersby. The more you do, the more you will experience the joy and satisfaction of making a positive difference. Whatever your plans are this year, make them experiences to remember. Be kind and respectful. You will be amazed at how even one single, small change each month can produce massive results over the long term.
The other day I was listening to “A Minute with Maxwell,” a daily inspirational video with teachings by John C. Maxwell. The word of the day was selflessness – the ability to care for others, see others, help others, and live beyond the small limitations of your own personal real estate. John explained that people are always in need of another person to help them to be successful in life. One of my greatest passions is helping people succeed by imparting knowledge and wisdom. I challenge them to look at a situation differently and see the solutions that will help them improve and create a better life for themselves. I believe we should reach out to people in our own communities who are in need of help. Considering the recent tragedies happening around the world, I am more thankful than ever for my loving, healthy family. My gratitude for my family and home has intensified when I have watched the frightened Ukrainian families fleeing their homes. This week, do something to help someone close or a stranger, whether near or far. Be a contributor to the change in the world you

want to see. Do not wait another moment to begin improving humanity. Collectively, as a family, a neighborhood, a town, a state, a country, a global community, we can make the world a better place for all of us and for future generations to come. Simply changing the way we treat each other can have a huge affect. You can and do make a difference! It’s spring, a time of growth and new beginnings. Start making your improvements. Change for the positive. Happy Easter.
