A few weeks ago I went on my annual fishing trip with all the boys from TheHomeMag family. As you may know, we have about 50 THM magazines around the country. Many of them are run by a bunch of ex South Africans whom all got to know each other while chartering in the British Virgin Islands. At some point, we got tired of playing (or rather the wives did) and realized we had to start thinking about moving back to the mainland, getting “real jobs”, and starting our families. Why not start a magazine? Seemed simple enough!

Anyway, over the years we have made it a point to get together and go on our annual fishing trips. Last year was Alaska, the year before Denver, this year Florida. To tell the truth, fishing is not my thing. I like the adventure of getting away and just hanging with the boys, talking about the good ole days. It seems like there are a lot more of those these days, as the years fly by.

So there we were on our fishing trip, all great friends, having known each other for about 10 -15 years now.

We have all made America “our home.” At dinner one night eating our chef prepared meal, guess what happens? The Trump/Clinton topic came up. In all the years we have hung out together, politics has
