As a student run newspaper with a professional business staff we strive to have award winning editorial content and be the premiere resource for events, shopping, fun, and food. Our campuses have over 25,000 students, faculty and staff. We publish every Tuesday and Thursday, delivering our paper by 8 am throughout town and to locations across both campuses.

The Houstonian can refuse advertising if the listed policies and procedures are not followed.

PAYMENT

PRODUCTION SERVICE

All advertising rates are net rates. Cash, check, and money orders are accepted. In order to reserve a space in The Houstonian a client must provide endorsement on insertion order and make full payment prior to the run date. If payment is not received or the insertion is not signed, the ad cannot run.

Any ad The Houstonian designs and produces will be done for an additional fee. After the ad is proofed by the client, The Houstonian is no longer responsible for any errors in the ad.

AD DEADLINES All advertising material is due at least 2 BUSINESS DAYS before the publication date. Camera-ready ads are due by 2 p.m. Tuesday for Thursday publications and 2 p.m. Thursday for Tuesday publications. The Houstonian is not responsible for any omission or error on ads sent after deadline.

PROOFS AND ERRORS IN ADS Proofs will be provided for all ads made by The Houstonian.

These proofs must be corrected (if needed), signed, and returned by the deadlines. Make goods or adjustments will be considered only for errors that were solely the fault of The Houstonian and will be given at the discretion of the Business Manager. Full refunds will be given only for ads that did not run or were illegible. Font sized of 8 point or below are likely to be illegible and are not encouraged, and The Houstonian will bear no responsibility for the legibility of type 8 point or smaller.

CANCELLATION Cancellation of advertising is accepted until the publication deadline. After deadline, the space must be paid for whether the ad runs or not. The Houstonian is not responsible for any omission or error on ads sent after the deadline.

CAMERA-READY ADS All ad material emailed or sent as camera-ready will run as is.

The Houstonian is not responsible for discrepancies or errors on pre-made ads.
