Welcome to The Hub, the most beautiful space for creativity and community! A truly unique venue in the heart of Lichfield. From laugh-out-loud comedy and cabaret shows to standing gigs with the UK's finest musicians, it's an atmosphere that's hard to beat. This season is bursting with laughter, featuring the comedic brilliance of Catherine Bohart and music by the Brit Award-winning Bernard Butler, not to mention rising star Angeline Morrison and the energetic Punk Pop Revolution! We are delighted to welcome back our family audiences too, and we'll be introducing little ones to the magic of opera with "You Are The Sun" and the enchantment of ballet with "Toscana Strings." The Hub is the most beautiful space for coffee and cakes in Lichfield! We also serve light lunches and have a fully licensed bar. Coffee Shop open daily Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30am to 3pm. Pre-Show Bar opens 30 mins before events.

Lichfield Textile and Stitch are a local group with a common interest in all aspects of creating using textiles. They provide a varied programme of talks, workshops and events at their monthly meetings. In this exhibition they will showcase the talents of their members and hope to inspire others.
February - March Lichfield Camera Club Lichfield Camera Club is a supportive, friendly organisation welcoming photographers of all abilities. Visitors to this exhibition will be able to view nearly 100 images from all genres of photography. For more information visit www.lichfieldcameraclub.org

A Journey Through Homelessness Outsiders is a documentary photography project by award winning photographer Marc Davenant. In partnership with Shelter, he captured a snapshot of homelessness in modern Britain over a six year period, with powerful personal testimony from participants.

Celebrating the music of George Gershwin
Join local Jazz Trumpeter and Guitarist Nick Dewhurst and his trio (this evening featuring Jim Wynn on Piano and Tom Moore on Double Bass) as they present an evening of music celebrating the great composer, George Gershwin. Local Home Grown Jazz The same brilliant local jazz musicians you’ve seen at the Hub before, but this time playing all their own tunes! Tim Amman (piano) and Paul Robinson (Fretless Bass) join Nick Dewhurst for an evening of ‘Home Grown Jazz!’ with plenty of local Lichfield and Birmingham references including Bird Street Jazz and K2 Blues. Ma Bessie: The Bessie Smith Story Nicknamed the “Empress of the Blues”, Bessie Smith was the most popular female blues singer of the 1920s and 1930s, and a major influence on other jazz singers. Ma Bessie and her band (featuring vocalist, Julia Titus) perform a narrated show, featuring music from the period and showcasing many of Bessie's songs. The show chronicles Bessie's life from a one-room shack, to becoming the highestpaid black entertainer of that time, to her tragic death at 43. Saturday 27th January 8pm - £20

Landslide The Music of Fleetwood Mac
A must for all Fleetwood Mac fans!
Catch the incredible Landslide playing the music of Fleetwood Mac live. The band includes five musicians playing a set list spanning the early blues of Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer, all the way to Rumours and beyond. Saturday 3rd February at 8pm - £17
Sarah Gillespie Anglo-American singer songwriter Sarah Gillespie is renowned for mixing elements of jazz, folk and blues with her streetwise poetic lyrics. Having released four critically acclaimed albums in the last 10 years, she’s toured extensively, headlining festivals in Europe and the USA.

Midnight in Paris with Wine Join wine geek Tony Elvin of the Wine Events Company for a Valentine’s showing of the enchanting movie ‘Midnight in Paris' alongside a fun wine tasting. The movie will be paused at appropriate moments to pour you some fabulous wine as the Wine Events Company share with you their favourite French wines, and some fun movie trivia. Wise Woman Power-folk four-piece, Wise Woman, bring a heady collision of lush vocal harmonies, cinematic cello and 90s girl power to their UK tour. Two old men escape from a care home and go to a metal festival…
Cyril doesn’t like old people, which is a shame because he is one. When he learns his estranged granddaughter, Lily, has her big break with her thrash metal band, Abscess, he and his friend Neville are determined to show up and support her. Neither of them will ever be the same again. Following the sell-out success of Rob Gee’s show 'Forget Me Not: The Alzheimer’s Whodunnit' at the The Hub in 2022, he's back with new comedy AWOL. Loosely based on a nearly true story, this movie-style adventure caper, with a positive message about ageing, is also a love letter to metalheads. Wed 20th March 8pm - £15

The Music of Django Reinhardt At the forefront of Django Reinhardt inspired jazz in the UK and influenced by the Parisian jazz scene, co-founder of the London Django Collective, Harry Diplock presents an evening of gypsy jazz. Harry has played all over Europe at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Le Duc des Lombards, Torino Jazz Club, Royal Albert Hall and 606 Jazz Club. Bernard Butler is a Brit and Grammy Award winning musician. In 1989 he formed Suede releasing the Mercury winning debut “Suede”. The era-defining “Dog Man Star” was followed by his collaboration with David McAlmont on the anthem ”Yes". Two solo albums on Creation yielded a Brit nomination before producing seminal releases by The Libertines, Tricky, Black Kids, Kate Nash, James Morrison, Texas, Mark Eitzel, Paloma Faith and Duffy - spawning her Grammy and Brit Award winning debut Rockferry. He has played guitar for Pet Shop Boys, Bryan Ferry, Roy Orbison, Bert Jansch, The Libertines, Neneh Cherry, Robert Plant and Ben Watt. Friday 19th April at 8pm - £25

Day of Dance Join us at The Hub for a day of movement and creativity for all! Led by Community dance artist and choreographer Molly Wright, Sarah Terry with Happy Human collective and That! How Sweet It Is: An evening of James Taylor A celebration of one of the most renowned singer songwriters of the 20th Century. ‘How Sweet It Is’ features a body of songs that spans several decades and are loved by audiences all over the world. Thursday 9th May at 8pm - £15 Pepper and Honey, written by a Croatian playwright and brought to life by a Croatian actor, is a play about two women questioning the meaning of home. Timed to perfection in order to deliver a perfect Croatian pepper biscuit, the live baking process is intertwined with the story of what it’s like to settle in a new country. Experience Ana’s search for identity in this timely play about the journey of change, cultural differences, and the conflict between upholding the traditions of the “old country” and embracing those of the new.
