ISLAND PEOPLE AND PLACES The Zamisky Family would like to announce the safe arrival of their daughter Nova. Born on December 4, 2012 at 11:18am. We want to extend our gratitude to EMS, the Quadra volunteer Fire Department, and BC ferries crew for coming together and assisting us through the predawn transition and for weathering the storm. A huge thank you to Betty Doak as well for your additional support, Your knowledge and experience helped put us at ease. Both Megan and Nova are healthy and healing. We are all overjoyed for her safe arrival. Thank you all again.

CAFÉ AROMA NEWS: First and foremost our Café would like to extend a huge thank you for the communities support in regard to our Angel Tree. Thanks to your generosity many children will receive special surprises this Christmas. We have a lovely 20 lb. turkey to give away on December 12, just sign your receipt with a contact # to win. We have decided to extend the Christmas spirit with an offering of ‘NO TAX’ for our signature Bennie’s on Sunday, December 23, only. I was approached by Cory ‘FAWN’ fame to man an Aroma coffee booth for his première showing of his movie, I believe in the spirit of the arts and certainly when one is in the beginning of a successful career. The proceeds of the coffee counter was given to Cory minus some change to cover incidentals. $ 375 was raised with an extended thank you to the community for their support. As a reminder the Café will be closed from 2pm on December 23, and will reopen on December 30 for your favorite Bennies. The decision to close for this week was met with some concern but, we all need to have rest and rejuvenation.
