Non-Qualifying Session Events

Drinks are available for Benchers from 5.15pm. The Call Ceremony in the Temple Church starts at 6.00pm and is followed by a champagne reception. The evening usually ends by 8.30pm.

Events from April 2021 are subject to change and government guidance due to COVID-19. Full details of all events will be publicised on term notices, innertemple.org.uk/events and in Innerview.

Bookings for all non-qualifying session events will close 10 working days prior to the event.

Grand Day

(The dress and format for Grand Day will be advertised decided nearer the time).

Hosted by the Treasurer, Grand Day is the most prestigious event of the Inn’s calendar.

Bookings Masters of the Bench: Reply slips are sent out approximately six weeks before the event and Benchers should complete and return them, or contact the Member Events Team on members@innertemple.org.uk, or via innertemple.org.uk/events.

Private Guest Nights (Black tie)

A champagne reception followed by dinner for Benchers, Members of Hall, Students and their guests.

The Inn holds three Private Guest Nights each year. Benchers may bring one guest. Members of Hall and Students may bring more than one guest subject to capacity.

Benchers’ Nights (Black tie)

A champagne reception and dinner to which Benchers may bring their spouse or partner. There are three Benchers’ Nights each year.

Amity Dinner at Other Inns (Black tie)

Bookings Reply slips are sent out approximately six weeks before the event and Benchers should complete and return them or contact the Member Events Team on members@innertemple.org.uk.

Benchers’ Dinner following Bench Table (Lounge suits)

This dinner takes place following the first Bench Table of the year.
