Facades Biobased Composite Panels One of the world’s first truly biobased facades has been applied to a plain block building by St u d i o Ma rc o Ve r m e u l e n i n the Netherlands. The architects collaborated with NPSP Composites who developed the material using a special bio-resin combined with hemp fibres. The 104 dark-coloured, smooth surface panels have a series of letters printed on them in relief. The material is labelled Nabasco®, which stands

Nabasco® Biobased Composite Panels from NPSP
Optical Tiling System Panels Ombrae™ is a patented, computer-based image processing system which brings the ancient technique of Bas Relief sculpture out of the past and into the forefront of surface design technology. Invented and developed by the Canadian artist Roderick Quin, the process is not a photographic transfer or a traditional holographic process, but is made from 3D pixels or optical tiles.
