Our scriptures, classics and folk lore nonetheless conceptualize paradise not as a mansion or a palace but a garden. The garden remains the most coveted, most aspired for place. Moreover, gardens are also referred to as ‘lungs of the city’.

‘Tracing Narratives’ An initiative by LEAF and Aniket Bhagwat, ‘Tracing Narratives’ is a travelling exhibition that unearths the aesthetics of landscape design in India and discusses the idea of the garden to core concerns and discourse. ‘ Tracing Narratives’ is an initiative by LEAF (Landscape Environment Advancement Foundation), and put together by Aniket Bhagwat and his team. A one of its kind exhibition, it explores Mughal gardens, Hindu palaces, fort and city gardens, the
importance of landscaping and plant life, as well as narratives of individual landscape architects. T h e e x h i b i t i o n “ Tr a c i n g Narratives - Indian Landscape Design” and the monograph are categorized into nine loosely structured sections. The underlying
vision is to entice the viewer and reader to explore these sections and outside the virtual fence established with this effort. Indian Landscape Design forms a grand narrative in itself and will take years to surmount. The exhibition attempts to create a lens through

The meaning or rather the many meanings of a garden are often forgotten, and the quest for these meanings will lead one to find the essence of the profession from where many forays not just in the world of design can be launched.
The Mughal gardens could not be the only legacy of Indian gardens. After a cursory search, the team of LEAF was convinced by the thought that they had to define what a garden was in the Indian context. We want to improve things by providing complete education of our strict specifications of the material used to the finish quality of the product and also by making it affordable and available to more than 1000 retail counters of India and Asia. The current segments does not include designer and decorative aesthetics in the interior feel which can be given by the laser cut grill customized designs to replace the glass. What innovations can we look forward to in railing systems in the near future?
Aluminium is going to be the best alternate for the future. It is light, weather proof, has more colour options and is relatively cheaper. Strength may be compromised a little compared to stainless steel but joining the parts “The PAG way� would give you enough faith for years to come. Also there is a move from using clear glass to sandwich glass with Dupont film, enhancing the safety aspect of the product. Based on a traditional Arabic mashrabiya, the mall has a projected bay window enclosed by decorative wood crafted screens. hen Farhan and Farya Lokhandwala were entrusted with the task of designing their parents’ home, they immersed themselves in the attainment of perfection. Soon into the design process, they were hit with the realisation that store-bought furniture would not give them the elegance they desired. With respect to designer furniture, the level of customisation fell short of what they wished for. Thus, Farhan decided to take matters into his own hands and started designing his own creations. Eeda Inc was born shortly after.

roject Wood is a Delhi-based furniture and lifestyle design studio that revels in the idea of evergreen design. The Project Wood catalogue sells unique, iconic and authentically handcrafted furniture and accessories that boast of a future-proof quality. An isosceles triangle for a wall-hung hook and an equilateral triangle for wall-hung shelves pay tribute to three-sided polygons.
