Welcome to BEST OF SUMTER 2023, recognized as one of the best citywide contests in the nation. It’s our honor to celebrate you.
Tanners. More than a gas station. A place to serve the community.
I’ve always wanted to help people in my community. Having Tanners Gas Station allows me to put a smile on people’s faces, whether they’re going to work in the morning or coming home in the evening.
I’ve worked hard to be able to own my own stores. Tanners in Sumter and Manning and Sportsman’s provides all your fuel-up, snack and convenience store needs, and I love talking to all of you every day and seeing your faces, both returning and new. I’m excited for the future.
I used to be an accountant, but I always knew I wanted to be in retail ever since coming here at 13. My dreams came true in 2010, and I thank all the loyal customers and the staff at Tanners for making us the Best Gas Station in Sumter for 2023 and now nine years in a row!
Whether you need gas or an on-the-go phone charger, breakfast, lunch or a hot dinner, a refreshing drink or a quick snack, Tanners will send you away satisfied. We offer a variety of fuel, including regular gas, propane, small engine fuel and race gas. Our store is packed with fast snacks, including candy, chips and cold beverages. Our pizza and wings are hot and ready to take out or eat here daily. So, whether you need a grab-and-go or to sit back and relax for a bit, we have it at Tanners.
Sportsman's Stop & Shop on U.S. 15 South offers bait
and tackle supplies. We’re excited to expand by renovating the old Sumter County Flea Market property.
I love doing what I do, and even though I offered to close during COVID-19, my staff wanted to return to work. Everything we do is to serve the community.
From the bottom of my heart, I cannot thank the voters enough for honoring Tanners with the Best of Sumter 2023 award for Best Gas Station. And thank you to my customers and employees because I wouldn’t have anything if it weren’t for you all.
If you haven’t been out to see us at either of our U.S. 15 South locations in Sumter or on U.S. 301 in Manning, please come visit to learn about everything we have to offer. If you’ve been with us for a while now, we can’t wait to see you soon.

Archway Academy ignites children's minds
The Archway Academy team is honored to be named Sumter’s Best Preschool and Best Child Care Center for 2023! Thank you to everyone who voted for us. We appreciate your confidence in what we do for the youngest members of the Sumter community – our children.
Now in our 38th year, Archway Academy has been serving the Sumter community with excellence since 1985 by providing quality early care and education and engaging afterschool programs. Our mission is to provide a solid foundation for a sound education. Our team of dedicated early childhood professionals works hard to ensure all students attending Archway Academy enjoy enriching, funfilled experiences to take with them for a lifetime.
Our programs are aimed at one thing: igniting the minds of young children by fostering their academic, social and emotional growth through purposeful lessons and materials that intentionally produce a positive outcome. We have incorporated content from Conscious Discipline® strategies for social-emotional development. In addition, we help prepare a child for kindergarten and beyond with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math).
The relationships built here with our school family are treasured for years to come. Students attending Archway Academy enjoy unique experiences with our Farm to Preschool Program, including a curriculum based on nutrition, activities involving food and gardening by the
children. The children enjoy planting, growing and eating the food they grow. In addition, Archway Academy is home to the award-winning Camp BBC, a summer day camp for schoolage children. The motto of Camp BBC is to create FUN!
Archway Academy is family owned and operated and now serves children of children from years past. We call them our legacy families. Again, thank you to our voters and families because you and your children are why we work to be the best at what we do.
Archway Academy has two locations in Sumter, 2049 McCrays Mill Road and 416 S. Wise Drive, and three locations in the Summerville area. Please call (803) 773-6480 (McCrays Mill Road) or (803) 773-4300 (South Wise Drive) to contact a director for enrollment information.

House Speaker Murrell Smith gets results
It is an honor to be recognized by our community in the Best of Sumter 2023 publication.
As your state representative in District 67, I have experienced the highs and lows of being an elected official. But never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be chosen by my fellow House members for what many believe is the most influential position in state government, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
It is the honor of a lifetime and could not have been achieved without the support and backing of the great people of Sumter County. For more than 20 years, the residents of our community have given me the privilege of representing them on issues that impact our collective future. My family and I cannot thank you enough.
So how did this happen? How did a small-town, local attorney become Speaker of the House of Representatives?
The answer is simple: faith, family and friends.
With an unwavering commitment to my faith and the support of my amazing family and friends, I have been able to navigate the tricky politics and problems that accompany elected office. I try to make good, common-sense decisions that always put Sumter County and the state of South Carolina first. As Speaker, it is my pledge that I will continue to operate in that same manner.
Among many other things, thus far this year in the House, we have cracked down on drug traffickers to reduce preventable Fentanyl-related deaths by increasing penalties for anyone who sells Fentanyl in our community. I have also focused on adoption reform to remove barriers for parents who want to provide loving homes to children who need them.
Last year, a bill I authored also led to the largest tax cut in state history. Stewardship of our state funds is a top focus of mine as House Speaker, and I believe you should keep more of what you earn.
For quite some time, I have worked with others to recruit Scout Motors to our state. In March, Scout announced it would be building a large vehicle manufacturing plant in the Midlands, a multi-billion-dollar investment and one of the largest ever in our state. This monumental deal will provide thousands of jobs and create tremendous, long-term opportunity for new small business here in Sumter to open their doors and provide supplies and materials Scout will need to manufacture its electric vehicles. These good-paying jobs will provide stability for families for decades to come, and I am pleased to see this project get off the ground.
As an attorney at the Smith Robinson Law Firm, I am also keenly aware of how important it is to have the support of one’s co-workers. For that reason, I am profoundly grateful to my fellow attorneys, staff and friends at the law firm for allowing me the time to do my “other” job.
Most importantly, words cannot express the appreciation I have for my wife, Macaulay, and our children, Bee and Murrell III. They are unwavering in their support, and their love is absolutely unconditional.
Thank you again for the honor of serving you.
Rep. Murrell SmithThank you!
4 Years in a Row!
Thank you, Sumter County, for allowing me the honor to represent you in the South Carolina House of Representatives. In my role as South Carolina Speaker of the House and as District 67’s Representative, I promise to continue to be an effective voice on your behalf and on behalf of all the citizens of South Carolina. Thank you for your continued support!
Thank you, Sumter County, for allowing me the honor to represent you in the South Carolina House of Representatives. In my role as Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee and as District 67’s Representative, I promise to continue to be an effective voice on your behalf and on behalf of all the citizens of South Carolina. Epps Orthodontics gives cutting-edge care to all ages
Thank you for voting Epps Orthodontics the Best of Sumter!
Dr. Thomas W. Epps has been providing children and adults with exceptional orthodontic care since 1987. Dr. Epps received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Clemson and his medicinal dentistry doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dentistry. He was ranked No. 1 in his dental class and completed a residency program at the University of Florida.
Dr. Epps feels it is important to stay on the cutting edge of orthodontics. He strives to continue his education by attending orthodontic seminars, reviewing dental/orthodontic literature and researching the latest, constantly changing orthodontic technology. He also serves in many professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontics, South Carolina Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association and Tri-County Dental Association. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Speech and Hearing Clinic.
He feels it is important to give back to his community outside of the office, and the Epps Ortho K9-5K is again the Best Charity Event in Best of Sumter.
We would be happy to help you and your family with braces or any orthodontic appliances. Call us at (803) 775-5500 to schedule your appointment today.
What is community banking?
A community bank is much more tied to the community it serves, which enables it to provide more personalized, relationship-based banking services.
Did you know community banks:
• Are committed lenders with loan growth that has outpaced noncommunity banks for eight years.
• Offer high-tech, high-touch service, giving consumers access to modern-day conveniences while maintaining the superior customer service for which community banks are known.
• Understand and embrace local small businesses. In fact, community banks made 60% of total Paycheck Protection Program loans to small businesses and provided 72% of PPP loans to minority business owners that reported such data.
• Are committed lenders with loan growth that has outpaced noncommunity banks for a decade.
Bank of Clarendon is your local community bank, and we are proud to have been voted the Best Bank and Best Loan Officer-Stephen Williamson. Come see why your friends trust us and voted our team the best. Dream Big. Bank Local.

Having a party? Put DJ Howie D on the list for the best time!
No one wants to go to a party and be lulled to sleep by the music choice or feel awkward when the DJ makes you uncomfortable.
If you’re planning a wedding, birthday party, school event, anything, make sure that does not happen by booking DJ Howie D Entertainment DJs.
Splitting his time between DJing and his job as a detective with the Sumter Police Department, DJ Howie will make sure guests are on their feet dancing, laughing
and having fun the whole time. They won’t want to go home!
We entertain guests of all ages and bring the party to any occasion, with music, entertainment, games and a state-of-the-art photo booth.
Weddings, birthday parties, karaoke, music videos, prom and school events, holiday parties, bar and bat mitzvahs and any other special occasion imaginable. You name it, DJ Howie will bring the fun.
See what real clients had to say about DJ Howie D Entertainment DJs!
I was impressed with the DJ service and would use them again. They kept us all entertained and followed my instructions to a T! Loved everything about them!”
– April on The Knot
We had such a mix of people at our wedding, but that didn’t matter. EVERYONE was on the dance floor. That was my one fear was that people would not dance or there would only be a few people dancing, but Howie made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun!” – Caitlyn on
The Knot
This guy is wonderful, and he’s got moves on the dance floor. A true entertainer and a master to his craft.”
– LaTonya on The Knot

Auto parts are what we sell; customer service is what we promote
What a great honor it is to be voted the best place to buy auto parts in Sumter for 2023. Once again, the great people of Sumter have spoken and chose Carquest Auto Parts (Auto Parts of Sumter and Patriot Auto Parts) as the best place to buy auto parts in 2023. We are truly blessed to have the best customers this state has to offer. It never gets old winning this award. Every year we are truly excited to see if our hard work and great customer service have made a lasting impact on our customers. Your vote shows us that they did. Our customers are the reason we do what we do, and they mean everything to us. I have said it before, and I still stand by it that I would not want to serve any other community. We have the great honor of serving our men and women of the armed forces and all of our first responders. We truly appreciate the sacrifice that they make for us on a daily basis. We are proud to make Sumter our home, and we pray for our community often. We still offer a broad range of services including but not limited to hydraulic hose repair, automotive paint, VP racing fuel, and custom colors packaged in an aerosol can. We install wiper blades and most batteries for our
customers as well. We take pride in our work, and we truly love what we do and the community we do it for. We have over 30 years of parts experience at both stores. If we don’t have it, we usually can find it. Jesus said that the two greatest commandments were to love God and love people. We truly try to do that in our lives and in our business. I believe we are succeeding in both because we have been blessed beyond measure. The Sumter community has spoken loudly in confirming just that by casting their votes for us. Auto parts are what we sell, but customer service and satisfaction is what we promote. Our prayer for 2023 is to honor God and our customers by being Sumter’s Best!

Air Solutions has had growth year over year thanks to the concept of “thinking differently” in terms of customer service and customer experience. Thanks to this annual growth, we were able to open a second location in Florence to also serve customers in that market. We value the great experiences we have had at restaurants, retail stores and other local shops we do business with and have tried to encompass all of the different pieces that left an impression on us into our day to day. We continue to do our part donating to several local organizations and stepping up to volunteer when the opportunities arise. We would like to thank all of our wonderful customers who thought of us in their voting. We are honored to have won this award the last five years. Thank you!

The dentist kids LIKE going to
Let’s face it…not every child likes to go to the dentist. That’s where Dr. Felicia Goins, Dr. Lisbeth Poag, Dr. Shari Martin and Dr. Joshua Durrant step in to make a difference. This team of dentists has over 90 years of combined dental experience, providing a full range of dental restorative and hygiene services for patients starting at birth through adolescence. They specialize in unwrapping the fears of their young patients one at a time until they have a child well-equipped to handle whatever dentistry can throw their way. By customizing care to meet each child’s individual needs and offering a fun, kid-friendly environment, the doctors and staff are successful at establishing lasting relationships and providing pleasant dental experiences. Building relationships both with the patients they serve and their families is one of the major goals at Carolina Children’s Dentistry. Knowing where a patient or their parents are coming from is part of the key to treating the patient as a whole, not just “the tooth” in front of you.
The team members at Carolina Children’s Dentistry are
truly the magic-makers. From playing with a new patient, to providing a loving sedation visit, to assisting parents with their insurance and scheduling, this gifted and passionate team is what truly makes us stand out and what makes the doctors honored to come to work each day. They have a love for children and work to make each child realize their own capabilities at each visit. Carolina Children’s Dentistry understands that providing quality dentistry along with proper oral hygiene education for the patients and parents is key to ensuring optimal dental health. The ultimate goal for Carolina Children’s Dentistry is to make beautiful smiles and help each child gain the confidence to develop his or her strengths and grow into the person he/she is meant to become.
We care for the unique needs of children like no other practice. Kids and parents love our fun atmosphere and friendly staff, whose sole focus is helping children to learn healthy dental care.

Is your business protected from fire?
According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), fires break out in 3,300 office properties and 37,000 industrial buildings annually.
Three considerations to help you save lives and minimize damage:
1. What to buy. An all-purpose fire extinguisher sounds convenient, but it may not meet the NFPA code guidelines for your industry and facility size. Each of the five main fire types requires a different extinguisher. Before you buy, call a certified fire inspector for free who can help identify what’s required for your facility.
2. Proper use. It’s tempting to purchase a larger extinguisher, but remember someone has to lift it and pull the pin. A fire extinguisher’s purpose is to help your team safely exit the building, not put out the fire. Buy the recommended extinguisher for your need. Your fire sprinklers, suppression systems and responding emergency personnel will handle minimizing property damage.
3. Inspection is critical. NFPA 10 code, as well as OSHA, require monthly extinguisher inspections, enforced by fire marshals who can cite your business. A national fire protection company like Pye-Barker Fire & Safety can help ensure your extinguishers are up to code and your business and employees are protected.

THANK YOU FOR VOTING US #1!
Dental Team of Sumter is a family ready to serve yours
Like many of Sumter’s professionals, R. Capers Lee was inspired by another local dentist, Dr. Mutt Bozard, who was not only his dentist, but his Boy Scout leader as well. Lee remembers him as a kind, caring person who lived his life in an exemplary manner and hopes to emulate those qualities while also reflecting his Christian values in his practice at The Dental Team of Sumter.
Dr. Lee is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and attended dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina. He graduated in 1986 and recently completed his 37th year of dentistry. Dr. Lee’s oldest son, Dr. Hunter Lee, joined the practice after graduating from MUSC in 2016. He served in the U.S. Air Force for five years and then departed to join “our team.”
“We are delighted that Dr. Hunter has joined us and can’t wait to see what God has in store for our practice,” he said about his son.
Dr. Lee met a fellow dentist, Danny Gardner, on a dove shoot in 2003. Gardner is a dentist in Charleston and an avid supporter of foreign and domestic mission work. Gardner mentioned taking a trip to Venezuela in the spring, and the rest, as is said, is history. Dr. Lee contacted Dr. Bill Sasser of Charleston, a veteran servant
Thankyou
with the Christian Medical Dental Association, and away they went. Dr. Lee has been on nearly 30 mission trips abroad with Dr. Sasser and the CMDA, serving in Peru, Venezuela, Trinidad, Ecuador and, his favorite, Honduras.
“Having been in many third-world countries, I’ve realized that almost all American dental offices are excellent compared to the rest of the world,” he said.
At Dental Team of Sumter, we try to separate ourselves serving patients as well as we possibly can by implementing the “Golden Rule". Who wouldn’t want a dentist and staff to do unto others as you would have them do unto you? This type of mindset has proven to be noticed as The Dental Team has been voted Best of Sumter many times, and he has been chosen many times by peers as one of the top dentists in the Midlands. Dr. Lee, Dr. Hunter and the entire staff at Dental Team value each and every patient and want to extend sincere gratitude to everyone in the community who voted their office The Best again this year. We are honored and appreciate your vote of confidence in our entire team!

The Sumter Item newsroom wins 14 awards at annual S.C. Press Association banquet
COLUMBIA - The Sumter Item took home 14 awards Friday, March 11, 2023, from the South Carolina Press Association's annual banquet for newspapers across the state.
The SCPA, which offers training, advocacy and hotline services to its member papers, including support of open government and Freedom of Information Act issues, recognizes the best in local news each year. Staff at newspapers in other states judge the submissions. The Item's awards this year represent five
first-place wins, seven secondplace and two third-place recognitions.
"I'm always proud of our newsroom when these awards roll around annually. They work so hard, often with little to no public recognition, to provide information and storytelling that I know would be sorely missed if we were not here," said Kayla Green, executive editor of The Item. "We competed in a division this year against larger newspapers than in recent years, and almost every single person who entered won
something, even some of our firstyear journalists. Their individual and combined talent is inspiring."
Leading the heap is a staff award for General Excellence in the medium daily market, one of the biggest recognitions given. This award represents a newspaper's consistent and high quality, from reporting, writing and topic quality and variety to editing, headlines, design, photography, use of photos and sports, editorial and lifestyle sections.
"No matter who is on the individual awards, it takes
"Having access to interviews with each of the candidates helped me develop a better understanding of individuals I may have known by name only. I was able to refer friends in other wards (voting districts) to the online articles as well, which enabled them to form their own opinions. I believe access to this kind of reporting impacts our community in positive ways. Only two of eight incumbents who ran won their election, which means to me that people were invested and passionate, and it takes an informed public to get that form of engagement. I didn't see this local reporting anywhere else, and I'm very grateful I live in a community where it is still available."
"The Sumter Item did a wonderful job of covering the school board and its elections. I serve on the governor's military base task force, and the morning after the election I got a call from the task force staff member in the governor's office wanting to know the results. Why? Because the military is so important in South Carolina, and the education of our military children in our communities is so important. I was so happy to report that we have made a drastic change, and it looks like Sumter is headed in a direction to change the school board and move in a positive direction. And I have to give credit to the local newspaper - The Sumter Item - for making that happen, and particularly Bruce Mills."
"My wife and I feel the printed media take more time to prepare articles and fact-check before they put out the information. In an era of 24/7 TV news cycles where you are bombarded with information, it's beneficial to be able to sit down and read information, and certainly the No. 1 topic in Sumter County for the past couple of years has been the situation in our public schools.
The public schools in Sumter County are the most important element in our economic development because graduates who come out of those schools are the people who are going to be taking jobs in our local businesses and industries. For some time, we - in the industrial sector - have been concerned about the hires that we make not being well enough prepared in basic subjects such as reading, mathematics and reasoning. However, we have not noted a lot of improvement, if any. We have been following this issue very intently, and I think voters in this community have been very much motivated to evaluate the leadership in the district and the need for some changes.
"In the case of The Item, the newspaper was very even-handed in its coverage of the school board elections. The reporting on the meetings of the board was accurate. The interviews with the candidates - both the incumbents and the challengerswere interesting and fair.
"We really need to up our game, so to speak, in our public schools in Sumter County, and I think that is what the voters were saying when they elected seven new members to the school board this time. We are not satisfied in Sumter County with mediocrity. We're concerned that enrollment is dropping in the public school district. We want this county to be competitive for new investments by outside entities, and we have been pretty successful with that in the past 10 years. But we are going to stall out unless our public schools improve. Excellence is what we want, and I think that is what - in a way - The Item has been hinting at in its coverage of the school board and its elections. Which of the aspiring leaders who want to be on the Board of Trustees is going to lead us to excellence in public education?
"And, frankly, as just one citizen, I am grateful that The Item gave the coverage it did to this most important issue. I think we are going to make improvements in Sumter County, and I am optimistic about the public schools here. And I believe The Item helped lead our voting citizens to make the selections that they did without bias. I thought candidates received good, equal coverage, and it was a spirited school board election campaign.
It was democracy at work, and that is what The Item reported: Democracy at work at the local level. And that is really the most important level. The coverage of this board election was just excellent."
- Jane Hray, local teacher; mother; subscriber - Steve Creech, executive committee member, South Carolina Military Base Task Force; former mayor, city of Sumteran entire team to create a consistently superior product," Green said. "There are some people who help make it all happen whose names are never on the byline of an article. This staff award really speaks to the teamwork of a newsroom and how much we rely on each other to create something that serves our community in a meaningful way."
Another staff award, led by Bruce Mills, was for a new Community Service category. Competing against all daily newspapers in the state, Mills led a sustained effort to cover and hold accountable Sumter's school board amid a lack of transparency, a rift between its former superintendent and an election. Mills' and The Item's comprehensive coverage, including reporting, use of public records, editorials, video and election guides, led to a demonstrated impact in giving the public information citizens used to make their own decisions. The coverage led to a citizen-led lawsuit, challenges on the ballot and eventual election results marking a majority turnover of the board.
Three other first-place awards included:
- Shelbie Goulding in food writing for a story on a high school culinary program's baking competition called Cupcake Wars (medium and small markets combined);
- Nich Pitts, a regular sports photography contributor, in the general news photo category for a capture of Lakewood High School's graduation (medium market); and
- Richie Weber in the feature video category for an episode of Sumter Today, The Item's good news show, featuring Alonzo McDonald, who was named Teacher of the Year in the former Clarendon School District 2 (large and medium markets combined). Second-place awards went to six different people:
- Shelbie Goulding for the Daily Top Stories newsletter (statewide);
- Micah Green in the humorous photo category of a capture of the choir director at First Presbyterian Church, Joni Brown, leading a rehearsal for the church's annual Christmastime "Lessons and Carols" program (large and daily markets combined);
- Tim Leible in two categories, for sports page design (medium and small markets combined) of The Grind featuring Clarendon Hall's McKenley and Mandy Wells and in the game coverage category for his reporting on Wilson Hall softball winning its second-straight state title (medium market);
- Alaysha Maple in the review portfolio category for her reviews of two Sumter Little Theatre plays, "Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" and "Love, Loss and What I Wore," and a Red Clay Strays concert at the Sumter Opera House (statewide);
- Ashley Miller for education beat reporting for her use of public records and coverage of the newly consolidated Clarendon County School District (medium and small markets combined); and
- Nich Pitts in the sports feature photo category for a capture of Griffin McIntosh before Clarendon Hall's season opener against Thomas Sumter Academy. It was the Saints' first game playing 11man football in 13 years (medium market).
Third-place awards went to:
- Cal Cary in the humorous photo category for a capture of a Crestwood High School student who was falling asleep at his graduation ceremony (large and medium markets); and
- Micah Green in the feature photo category of two boys channeling their inner Top Gun at the Shaw Air and Space Expo.
TheSumterItem'ssister newspaper, TheLexington Chronicle , took home eight awards in the small weekly market.
Among them was Cary Howard, who also serves as a graphic designer at TheItem . She won first place in front-page design. TheChroniclestaff won second place for general excellence.

Simpson Hardware & Sporting Goods thankful to loyal customers for over 70 years
Simpson Hardware & Sporting Goods is a thirdgeneration, family owned local hardware and sporting goods chain. In the history of the Best of Sumter competition, Simpson Hardware has won Best Locally Owned Business three times (including this year), Best Sporting Goods (including this year), Best Shoes (including this year), Best Ammo/Guns (including this year), Best Fitness (including this year), Best Outdoor Furniture (including this year), Best Men’s Clothing (including this year), Best Paint, Best Fishing, Best Hardware and Best Propane. Simpson’s owes any success to our loyal customers and helpful associates. We are so grateful!
Over the years, Simpson’s has grown to five stores and 160 associates in Sumter, Manning and Lake City (opened March 2023). Simpson Hardware Co. was founded in 1951 by the late Carl Simpson Jr. with the purchase of a store in Camden and later in Hartsville. Several years later, Mr. Simpson sold both stores, moved to Sumter and purchased Boyle Hardware. That store was opened under the Simpson Hardware name on West Liberty Street in 1961 and became the first ACE Hardware store in South Carolina. After one move several blocks away and recent renovations, the original Simpson Hardware remains on Liberty Street.
In 1964, a second location opened at Palmetto Plaza Shopping Center on Guignard Drive under the guidance of Carl Simpson III. That store expanded rapidly and moved twice within the shopping center. This basic hardware store soon became widely known for its sporting goods and lawn and garden departments. However, tragedy struck on April 9, 2000, when that location burned to the ground. After several temporary moves, Simpson Plaza Hardware opened in its new building on Wesmark Boulevard in 2002.
The other three stores in the company are located on Pinewood Road in Sumter, North Brooks Street in Manning, and North Church Street in Lake City. Each has undergone renovations in the last two years. Throughout its history, Simpson’s has served the community through pandemic, floods, hurricanes, ice storms…and even new trends.
In the coming years, the Simpson Hardware company plans to grow its online presence and expand beyond five stores. We currently have varying and new products in fishing, hunting, sporting goods, grilling, lawn care, clothing, gifts, footwear, sunglasses, paint and more. We welcome you to visit any and all locations of this family owned local store.
