Ambassador honours British global competition finalists
Elan Gorji, Interim CEO of JNF UK, expressed excitement about the program’s launch, building upon the achievements of the previous cohort. Elan Gorji stated, “Our community comprises an array of inspirational individuals, and we hope that the JNF UK Israel Fellowship Programme will enable our future leaders to learn from them and follow in their footsteps. This Fellowship Programme will provide our talented Year 12 students with unparalleled opportunities to explore Israel, develop leadership skills, and witness first-hand the tremendous impact that JNF UK is making on the lives of those most in need. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from our current Fellowship Cohort highlights their deepened understanding and connection to Israel.”
The Fellowship Programme application process will open on Monday, 19 June and run for 4 weeks.

Two British students who achieved top places in the World Bible Quiz were given VIP treatment by the Israeli Ambassador.
Shira Bamberger, 15, and Avigayil Rowe, 18, achieved 12th and 6th in the world respectively in the Chidon HaTanach (World Bible Quiz). At the televised competition held in Jerusalem, the pair from north-west London battled among 16 international finalists who were treated to an all expenses paid trip by the Israeli government. Shira and Avigayil achieved the best result for Brits at the competition which sees young students memorise 437 chapters of Tanach.
